@Psyga315
Please I wasn’t talking about those errors of the comics and this villain being forgiven at the spot. I just hope they will mention that equality isn’t completely wrong but whoever is responsible went too far in trying to achieve his/her goal and still be punished.
@Background Pony #CF31
“Sure she mind raped all of us and made us her slaves, but she was trying to help her friends! We’ve all done something silly for a friend!”
…
I personally hope whatever Twilight does contradicts her “muh moral towards civil ponies” in the Bulls arc of the comics.
@Background Pony #7733 Oh man, they probably won’t have this scene but that would have been an excellent way to bring her parents back for a cameo. Rarity crying because the only kind of clothing she knows how to make now appeal to her parents and nopony else! so every time they compliment her skills she cries harder.
@Mr. Horrible
This. And I also hope once whoever the baddie is defeated, that he or she won’t be described as the ultimate evil, because he/she did have some point, but went about it in the wrong way.
I think…nothing because I will wait and see what will truly happen rather than me coming up with some dumb story of what I think the first episode will be and have it not be true.
@BK_Leonidas
Numerous 19th-20th century scholars thought of similar ideas used in this episode, but I’d imagine the most extreme of this sort of society or cult didn’t exist in history, but in fiction. Don’t remember exactly, but I can’t help but think of ten or twenty episodes of FOP. XD
Interesting, Rarity’s crying, but is it because of the cutie mark? It did darken there, and we did see it, also, all six ponies have had their recap vids, hope this means the season 5 trailer will be coming soon
Based on what we’ve seen from the animatic and these little clips, whoever the bad guy here is seems to be inflicting some kid of forced equality not just on the Mane 6, but on everypony within their influence. It’s not like in MMC where swapping their cutie marks altered their memories and abilities, it seems to be inflicting some kind of curse that means nopony can do anything that anypony else can’t, with the equal sign cutie marks just being symbolic of that.
I’m really interested in seeing what kind of enemy would be doing something like this. FiM’s had plenty of straight-up evil villains. Even the baddies who end up reformed still clearly had malicious intent from the start. I’d really like to see their take on the “bad guy who believes they’re doing the right thing” trope.
In the season 5 animaatic, when they first discover the town, Pinkie points out the the pony’s smiles just wasn’t right, this could mean their personalities were changed or they are faking their smiles for some reason.
@PonyPon
they seem to still have their personalities from the looks of it. if i might guess that it only takes the magic rather than the true nature of the mark.
look what happened during the cutie mark swap. they did not take on the characteristics of each others marks. it conflicted with their own personalities are greatly confused and distressed them.
put simply i think it will be along the lines of the cutie marks representing more than just a talent or magical aiblity. there is something far deeper.
