Lyra and Bon Bon (or should I say secret agent Sweetie Drops) confirmed as friends, but not lesbians. But they did share some odd looks throughout the episode.
@Background Pony #FA5C
She isn’t in the Wonderbolts; she’s in the Wonderbolts Reserves, which is, presumably, the back-ups in case someone gets injured.
Well, they’ve already confirmed that Rainbow gets a solo song this season. They’ve hinted strongly at an Apple Bloom nightmare episode, and another will have them going back to Appleloosa, which will take care of the bottom corner and maybe the cultural exploration one as well.
@Titanium Dragon
Rainbow Dash in “Trade Ya!”: “I’ve been able to get first editions of all of the Daring Do books, except this one! Nopony’s ever put together a whole set, and I’m gonna be the first!” So while it was an autographed copy, her main motivation for wanting it is that it was a first edition.
@Jerkface
First off, these aren’t “things I WANT to have happen”. These are “Things I think might happen.” They’re predictions, not hopes.
And referencing and contradicting the EU is entirely possible. Heck, they could do it with a Pinkie Pie line easily, with Pinkie Pie bringing up something from the comics and everyone else being confused because THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
I think it would be funny, anyway. But they aren’t all that contradictory; it is possible that they will do both over the course of the season.
Rarity Shuts Down Spike is more what I think she’d DO - she isn’t really rejecting him so much as, well, he never had a chance in the first place. Same difference, I suppose; the two are interchangable, and it would have been more succicient.
The gay character thing is a wild guess, but frankly, I think you’re overestimating the shitstorm; other children’s shows have already gone there (Korra, Adventure Time, Steven Universe) so I don’t think it is entirely unthinkable that they’d do it. Over 70% of the parents of people who watch the show are pro-gay marriage, so I don’t think them having a gay character would even be all that big of a deal. It has been done before with little fanfare.
I don’t think it is all that LIKELY that they will do it, but eh, I was kind of out of ideas and if I’m right, I’m totally an awesome seer. :V
And if I’m wrong, whatever.
As far as Forget Daring Do Is Real, they’ve pretty much already done that once (Trade Ya! had Rainbow Dash trying to track down a signed copy of a Daring Do book… when they know Daring Do personally). Hence the screenshot from Trade Ya; it was kind of a joke.
I dunno how likely it is for them to include another such plot element, but we’ll see.
@Titanium Dragon
“References the Expanded Universe” and “Contradicts the Expanded Universe”.
There doesn’t need to be two Expanded Universe spots, especially in the same row. They contradict each other and make it that much harder for a bingo (My hatred of the comics notwithstanding).
“Rarity Shuts Down Spike”.
This is more of something I don’t get. Why not just say “reject”?
“Gay character”.
That is by far the most wishful thinking and insane possibility. Hasbro doesn’t want any conflict (because that might mean damages in sales and reputation), and that alone would cause a shitstorm large enough that it would go down in infamy forever.
“Forget Daring Do is real”.
How could that happen when it was the focus of an entire episode?
TL;DR These things keep becoming either full of outlandish bingo conditions or heavy with the creator’s secret desires.
