Well, Mary Jane died of cancer on Spider-Man: Reign due Peter’s radioactive semen ||
Bruce Banner and Betty Ross baby || died of gamma cancer on the womb
It was explained that without his healing powers || both Wolverine and Deadpool are dying with cancer
||
And then there’s the schtick of the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell: the energy that gave him his power gave him cancer, but somehow Carol Danvers doesn’t have it.
I remember the entire auidence in my local cinema just having gaping looks when || Vision picked up Thor’s hammer. ||
And by the looks of things, || Captain America’s worthy as well considering it moved slightly during the lifting scene. I bet in Infinity Wars, he’ll pick it up and toss it at Thanos if he isn’t killed off in Civil War. ||
@HJSDGCE
I dunno, but she clearly states the hammer is killing her along with the cancer. What’s also funny is that the hammer has been wielded by others both men and women without the enchantment being written unlike her time.
With Jane now being the fem Thor, I think this’ll piss fans off more, because now in stead of it being someone random person, it’s an established character that has done things that is completely OoC.
@Cyborg_pony
Why would they do that?!
The Hammer can’t be the cause of her sickness! A lot of people wielded it before and they never got fucking cancer for it. And how would Asgardian magic cause her to die? It’s goddamn magic.
Jane Foster deserves better. Instead, she got terrible.
@HJSDGCE
Is there a mythical cancer trope? because it feels like there should be. :b
I’d also like to add that she refused Asgardian medicine. Maybe to quicken the end of This Thor as it’s become a stain on the series and marvel in general.
Still stupid they picked Jane Foster as a horribly written Thor just to kill her with cancer and the hammer’s power, and let us not forget in the beginning of this the hammer CHOSE HER! So it picked her only to kill her.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If they hammer really does choose it’s wielder, it royally F*ck up.
@RIG
I did a quick googlin after reading that. As far as I can see, many chock it up to being an internet rumor. As no one seems to ever know the source of the scene. [Checked some discussions on TVTropes/Reddit/some random comic forums.]
In other news: War Machine’s face is perfect for this shot~
I read that in an old comic, a random paramedic could weild mjolnir and he gave it to Thor, only after he left he realized what happened, but i can’t find the comic or the panel, help?
