most of the complaints i’ve encountered with omega is it’s not ‘saint seiya’ enough (too many butthurt during the mars arc about the gold saints not having the exact techniques from the old series, despite no logical reason for them to have them in the first place).
 
i liked the fact that athena is willing enough to use steels, saints that sided with mars (conditional pardons?) because her forces aren’t enough to offset the pallasite numbers.

Not entirely as a brat but not being a carbon copy of Mu either, honest, just swap the hairstyles and you have the exact same character, there’s not difference whatsoever. He doesn’t need to act exactly like Mu to honor him, there’s plenty of other ways and using that example of shattering the Cloth, that’s what they could’ve made him, channel his hyperactivity by having him constantly study different cloths, different effects, the kind of guy who thinks a million times faster than he does things.
 
Kiki knows about the existence of the Steel Saints (When Sho saved Seiya from Aracne and during his visit to Shiryu at the hospital), why not have him aid in the creation of more resistant steel cloths or better yet, have him be the one that came up with the concept of the Stone Cloths to help Saints be more discreet when they’re in missions, further elaborate the scene where he says he found a way to repair the cloths without needing blood (Thanks censorship, by the way!)?
 
That’s one of the things that probably made me dislike Omega as much, they teased several new ideas and new concepts but they never lead to nowhere and when they did it was either the same thing we’ve seen a million times over (Hyperion, Integra and Aegaeon now withstanding) or they try to do something so different and it ends up being even more disappointing (Europa?).
 
And no, in no way I’m saying Kurumada hasn’t done this, heck, he seems to be permanently stuck in the Sanctuary Arc since the 1990’s, but the fact that this was a spin-off, and one where he had little to no involvement (and I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s true) should’ve been an improvement as opposed to him being directly involved (That CGI movie… You know the one).

You want the kid to behave like a brat even as an adult? And, for that matter, he was on his early thirties in Omega. He probably decided to mirror Mu’s attitude as a Saint after his death to honor him; that’s why he calmed down over the years. Also, he did exactly what you described him doing during Season 2 - with ONE finger, to rub salt on that Class 2 Pallasite’s wound.

I tell you, this has to happen.

Could’ve been a rogue agent from Dr Asamori who built a Steel Cloth capable of adapting to the ones of Saints and Cosmo users. Think how awesome that would’ve been?!
