I like that idea, Twilight probably just became so obsessed with solving the puzzles of Equestrian magic that she didn’t realize it was taking over her.

True, the ShadowBolts including Sour Sweet haven’t been confirmed evil. Maybe parts of the group are bad, but the rest might be more or less good people. So far, each Equestria Girls movie has at least one character turn into some demon or monster though.

Yeah, I think it would be kind of interesting to see an evil and crazed Twilight, but it would seem over-the-top. Maybe in the movie, Human Twilight isn’t really evil, but nothing will stop her from figuring out what’s going on (for science of course).

If Sour Sweet was the main villain, I’m sure she’d have more promotional material than the rest of the Shadowbolts. She’d get more dolls already.
Also, we do not know for sure the Shadowbolts are “evil.” They are definitely CHS’s rivals, but they probably don’t have malicious, Dazzlings/Sunset-level intents.

That’s the main reason why I don’t want Sci-Twi to be a villain. Scientists are often portrayed as being evil and/or crazy. According to different Friendship Games doll pictures, Human Twilight seems to be evil. In some pictures, she wears a blue pair of glasses with a horn attached to it (possibly an invention), and in other cases, she is called “Midnight Sparkle”. I’m hoping that Sour Sweet is the main villain, but we don’t have too much info on her still.
