I believe that scene also referenced those who saw them as just friends as fandom references was the item of the day,they weren’t trying to push anything, only to show they are aware of things and poking fun at it all.

For the record, this has always been the official line from DHX and the writers. Nothing new here. Homosexuality is verboten on American children’s shows, especially ones intended for girls.
 
But they definitely teased the hell out of this ship. Larson and the animators don’t live in a bubble (though the VA’s seem to); they knew what they were doing, and went just far enough to still claim plausible deniability.

No, because there is not enough evidence in the show to really ship Twilight with any of her friends, let alone all of them at once. Twilight hasn’t looked lovingly into the eyes of any of her friends like we saw Lyra and Bon Bon do.
