The best part of this is that this joke effectively started with MA Larson giving Peter New his ticket to Alicorntown after a bad pun via Twitter (shortly after MMC aired). Pixel’s version was one of the first after that, and I think most other artists used her version of the royal crown/etc. for themselves after that.

Seems like someone from the staff really liked that comic.

Apparently Pixelkitties gave Hasbro/DHX legal permission for Princess Big Mac years ago and they said, like you’d expect “Thanks, but this is too out there for us to use…” - now, a few seasons later, “RIDICULOUS ALL THE THINGS!”
