The main reason it seems weird to make members of the Mane 6 black is cuz they don’t sound like it. With nothin else to go off of, the only thing a humanization can be really based off of is voice. People humanize Zecora as black because not only is her VA black, but she sounds black. The mane6’s VAs are all white, but more importantly, they sound white.
Take this nigga for instance.
This lil ching chong muthafucka was voiced by Tara Strong, a white woman. Thing is she sounds like a lil Chinese boy. If you had Tara do that voice for any other character it would seem off. For the same reason, a black Mane 6 seems off.
And nigga dont eveen get me started on Dash’s color palette…

I think you forgot the point of this whole thing.
None of the mane 6 are black because none of them are of African descent, whereas Zecora is, being that she’s a Zebra, specifically a mountain zebra, which is a species native only to Africa.
