But her hoof didn’t actually slip. She pulled the lever deliberately. That means her words are not expressing their literal intentions (and that, is, Irony!)
 
“My hand slipped” is an ironic expression to show that one did something on purpose.

But they’ve never referred to their hooves as hands. And that’s exactly what’s happening here. Her “hand” slipped.
 
All the time they’ve said hand in the show they meant it as help or assistance. “Getting out of hand”, “lend me a hand” etc. Never in direct reference to an appendage. Like “reach for/let go of my hand” or “I can’t hold it in my hands”.
