So, did we ever get a definitive answer on how sentient the goats are? Despite their simple appearance, inability to speak Equestrian, and the fact that Fluttershy offered Dash one as a pet, they are smart (or trained) enough to operate the machinery and Iron Will seems to understand them, and they him.
