Honestly, I have never seen a bigger bunch of losers than politicians and political activists and yet they are everywhere. Can’t you just set up an island and go draw lines in the sand and argue about laws there?

Not sure if I should call you idealistic or naive.  
If the Opposition to article13(now17) wins they will not dismentle the EU Copyright Directive they will Change it to their own liking or MORE likely say “to get rid of it now is not that easy” and shelf it indefinitely after they got your vote. (We already went through this process before with other disliked laws.)
 
More concerning I think is your “what I care for is to prevent the Internet from becoming a tool of money-greedy corporations”, but you also want to take away the Tools from the only other major Player that could stop the corporations (working for the Internet Giants indirectly because they fear liability). The only Thing that can stop coroparations is the law, which is created by the goverments.
 
The goverment not making laws for the Internet, means keeping it a Wild West scenerio were the strong exploit the weak.  
Letting the goverment do what ever they want is also not good, power corrupets and is easily misused.
 
And here we are again Looking for a happy median for this Situation.
 
(btw Ploiticans don´t Need to work for us. representatives work for us that is a subsection of politican, but I just going to assume that you and I are lucky enough to life in Democracies where this is supposed to be that way. But seriously I find you confusing.)

I have no clue what it even is that you want to say. You have Article 13 (now Article 17) and a couple of MEPs and their parties in each EU country that are against Article 13 (now Article 17). Tomorrow are the EU elections in most EU countries. So instead of working yourself in a frenzy with doomsday shouts and paranoia, you go and vote for the right people.
 
Where you take your wisdom, that MEPs who are against Article 13 (now Article 17) and the upload filters won’t work against them, despite that a couple of them openly said they will fight it, from is a mystery to me. I’m starting to think you are that same anxiety-ridden guy who spreads doom and gloom about Article 13 (now Article 17) here for weeks now, just with an account this time.  
Either way, I think I’m going to give up on you. Your comments on the matter don’t make any sense and just attempt to talk what’s likely the only thing that can still safe us from Article 13 (now Article 17) to death.

Dude, with humanity, every day is April freakin’ fools! Cause it’s a joke. Here we be, enjoying some colourful cartoon about love and joy, and it’s gotta turn into nuclear launch codes and someone’s fight for democracy or some other bullcrap. To me, it don’t matter if the goverment ceases to exist or puts tiny cameras into our homes, it’s gonna be the same thing day in, day out. Apropos of nothing, it turns out that the Wikipedia article for the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market i.e., “Article 13”/“Article 17”– is, for some reason, not currently protected against vandalism, which seems like something of an oversight on their part.
