There is an EASY solution to this.
 
Ask whoever has access to their computer and profile now to do a face cam.
 
You don’t have to show the world, just have an admin confirm it.
 
All we need to know is are these “two people” one or two? Then the rest is history.

So? You have broken it once. If you actually thought this was a disgusting act, you’d say fuck the rules and do this anyway. Just doing a quick search myself, I have easily destroyed half of your claims. If you want to cite your evidence and actually abide by your morals, then do so now and link me to this evidence.

i didn’t realize i was outright breaking rule 8. i thought i was just skirting it. i was wrong. i’m not going to antagonize myself to the mods any further. at this point i’m just about ready to wash my hands of this whole mess because there’s really nothing i can do or say about this.

Ok, this is starting to get out of hand very quickly. If you want to speculate and trade notes over what happened in Second Life or whatever, fine, I don’t care.
 
But posting personal, private information about real life people is doxxing, and it is not tolerated here at all. I will start handing out bans if necessary. I don’t want to, but we cannot allow that.
 
And there’s not any kinda threshold, like “name and city is fine, just not street name”. Nope. Nothing at all - if it’s not public information tied directly to their account and visible for everyone, it’s not good. And if you have to start going on a scavenger hunt across multiple websites, then that’s also not ok.

What would you do if your private information was leaked by attention seeking, overly emotional people looking to cause harm to people?

I feel like even if someone directly involved does try to come out and explain what really happened, people are just going to accuse them of lying or pretending to be multiple people or whatever.
 
I don’t have any real opinions on the matter or anything like that. But based on how things have been going here, I feel like certain people here just aren’t going to accept anything that they don’t already believe.

What they did was wrong on virtually every level. Ya’ll have every right to be pissed about it - I sure am, I know TSP is as well. However, there is a line between discussing rumors and analyzing what’s true and not, and straight out obsessing.
