Add this to your complex filter:

(twilight sparkle AND explicit)

That will hide images that have Twilight Sparkle that are Explicit, while still showing you images that are Explicit or that have Twilight Sparkle.

You can give it a try in the normal search window to see if you end up hiding the images that you want to hide.

The text under the complex spoiler filter box says:

For multiple filters, separate with a newline (or use the OR operator). Search fields excepting faved_by are supported.

The text under the complex hide filter box says:

To combine filters into this field, you probably want to use OR (or ||). Search fields other than faved_by are supported.

You probably should agree on one phrasing here.

While that’s fine, since it prevents spam, can it please at least be made so that

It does not completely clear out what you’ve just entered.
Display a timer to show when you can upload again.

Just have the alternate versions open in other tabs, tagged, sourced and descriptions done. Hit upload in the first tab, wait until the upload completes plus 10 seconds, hit upload in the next tab, wait, repeat.

Have you tried just going back? At least in Chrome, going back to the upload form via back button/browser history/recently closed tabs/etc should remember everything you filled in.

I usually just hit back. Then when the page is done loading, hit “plain editor” button, and the tags’ll still be there.
EDIT: Just make sure you re-fetch and select the correct image. I’ve screwed that part up before.

Would be nice if you could get an RSS feed for search results. For example, if I search for Twilight Sparkle, then copy the URL, then paste it into an RSS feed program then that program would be able to check for new images of that specific search and tell me whenever some new images show up.

Any chance of getting the hashes of the full-quality image on the site stored/exposed via the API?

Perhaps also have the reverse image search also use such to try to find a match.

There is no reliable way to detect if an image embedded in the forums is animated, if that’s what you mean. Otherwise, filter animated.

An automated tag that is applied to images whenever there is a duplicate report on them that hasn’t been resolved.

Resolving (whether by merging or ignoring) would remove said tag, but otherwise people cannot add/remove the tag via normal editing of tags.

I don’t think this is a useful feature for me to implement. It requires a lot of overhead and is incredibly niche use case. If you really want to make sure you don’t see any dupes, delay the entire site by a day (filter created_at.gt:1 day ago).



This would be a nice feature to implement but it is impractical. Perhaps a websocket based solution will come some day, but for now I don’t really want to focus my time on webhooks.

Fair enough. I used to use the report info that was in each image’s json to work out if there was a dupe report active on it, but you removed that (recursion issue, I think it was).

As for the webhooks, the main reason I ask is that I have a discord bot at the moment that pokes the site every 15 mins for new stuff, and figured a webhook for “new image” could save both our servers a little overhead. I’ve been talking with Xaquseg over on Fimfiction Discord, and he’s looking at implementing that using AWS SNS service to make it simpler on his end.

The reason we don’t yet is because such conversions are mired in complications with the formats (for example, AVI is a generic container format that contains muxed audio and video from arbitrary coders, etc.). The only reason right now that we have limited support for MP4/H.264 is because without them devices made by ethically reprehensible fruit company would fail to work with the site, and I would much rather do away with it altogether.
