Did you change how gallery rearranging works? Now when I move an image it swaps with the image where I drag it to instead of inserting it, which makes it no longer feasible for me to add old images to a gallery and keep the whole thing in upload order.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but how does one move images from say, the first page, into a position in the 3rd page of a gallery? Making the gallery display more images at once doesn’t seem to work if you have more than 50 images on 1 page.

You have to move it one page at a time by moving it to the transparent slot at the bottom of each page then saving. It’s a pain.

Going over 10,000 images in a gallery doesn’t seem to break anything. I’m surprised I’m the only one with such a gallery…

I wish there was a way to filter galleries, at least by the rating of content, cause by Celestia 99% are either show me “explicit”/“questionable” banner or have “nsfw” in name. I just want cute curated art, that’s all.

Sorry to bump this, but how exactly does search results for images NOT in a gallery get ordered? For instance, this gallery. Say, I search for “-gallery_id:1465”. Some images in the first post are from 3 years ago, and others are from within this year. How do the results get ordered? The reason I’m doing this btw is to find more images NOT in a certain gallery.

They’d be sorted with the same criteria as other search results, right? Using the drop-down at the bottom of the page? I just tried it with my gallery.

It claims it’s by creation date, and descending, but the order appears to be different. This is what I see:

I get those results in that order when I sort that search by relevance. Before I change the sorting I get a true newest-first.
I’m not sure if you can change the default search result sorting, but in any case you should be able to affirmatively rerun the search set to newest-first. Or do you get the same results every time regardless if you change the drop-down?

OK I’m either blind or dumb (or both), but how do you add images to galleries once they’re created?

On an image page, there should be a Galleries dropown; click on the gallery you want the image added to.
