Just curious to see if this is a known thing by the good ol’ dev folks, or how much it matters if it is. I may not have looked far enough back (only went down to page 236) to see if it was reported and responded to before these fellers brought it up.
It just occured to me that this might be a difficult issue to do something with. Perhaps the “scale large images” feature can have a setting per format? So we could keep it for general images but choose to kill it for WebMs so they don’t restart and move when we try to use the video controls.
Gonna echo a couple of folks and note an issue that makes using WebM controls impossible when using the scaling feature - whenever you click on a big WebM video (anywhere on it), it cycles sizes just like images do.

Webm changes size and restarts when you click slightly above the buffer bar. Very annoying.
I’m on the latest version of Firefox, and have the “Scale Large Images” setting tagged for convenience. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to work the controls on video files. To be specific, if I click and drag the volume slider to the right, when I release the button it registers as a mouse-click and cycles through the three size iterations. This applies to all the controls for video files, I’ve found.Thanks for your time!
