Roleplaying badge.

Roleplaying is a part of this community which, if done correctly, can get more posts than anything. It is a way of interacting with people, it is a way of creating scenarios with other people that one might have difficulty doing on their own. But, there was a question that came up: should we have a badge for this? Would there be a badge for acting out scenarios of our favorite colorful equines on a site dedicated to images about them?
 
Would this badge be given to users who have a certain number of posts in the roleplaying forums, or would it be given to uses who are more well-known in the roleplaying forums, regardless of how active they are? Would it be given to users who make/made popular roleplaying thread(s), even if they only did so once, and never roleplayed since? Do roleplays over Private Messages count towards this?
 
What would this badge look like? Some have suggested a pair of comedy masks. Could it be a pair of people with a spotlight on them? Or, what might it look like?

the pair of masks honestly sounds like a good idea, it is after all the whole point, playing the role.

What color? Would it be a comedy mask and a tragedy mask, two comedy masks, two tragedy mask, or could we just have one mask, and if so, what would it be, comedy or tragedy?

(going for the classics i’d say two masks, comedy and tragedy at angles and a ribbon, you know the internationally recognizable sign of theaters.)

We’ll have to readjust those masks to make them fit as a badge.
 
Also, what should the criteria be? We had this discussion the the Badges Thread starting here and ending here. So, what do you think that the criteria should be? Number of posts? Successful threads? Noticeable/memorable threads?

Why not find something from the show to turn into the badge shape?

I looked through, and here’s what I’ve found:  
 
Masks tend to not appear as often in the show, although then again, it’s also possible that people just didn’t put in the ‘mask’ tag. Was there something in Horse Play that we could use? Or, something in the comics, if anyone remembers?

I was thinking more along the lines of an adventure object, say a six sided dice, a map, the cutie mark map table, etc. the mask is a great idea but no one really plays “roles” given to them or from a set script. We make it up as we go and the badge should reflect that. We’re only getting one.

I would suggest something that looks like a script, but that might be mistaken for a Mystery Badge.
 
Maybe a top-hat. A pony under a spotlight. A camera. Do any of those indicate roles/acting in a unique manner?

Now we just sound like we’re trying to come up with an Oc’s cutiemark.

This would be wise. It has to be a challenge.  
10,000 posts in the Roleplay forums earns you the (Storyteller badge) (Adventure Quest Badge) (Roleplayer Badge) (Roleplay Fanatic) etc

As I said in the badges thread, I imagine it would be something like how much activity you have in roleplaying. But, would that mean the number of posts, would that mean the number of threads, would it mean how significant you are in roleplays, or would it just be that you created a successful roleplay, or what would it be?

Mix of all. Would need to know if the mods would approve a single badge with a high criteria, or multiple badges of increasing marks to achieve.

I don’t know. I already know I won’t qualify for whatever badge gets approved. I haven’t been active enough. But you probably will get whatever crazy shit pops up xD
