Opening “Edit Tags” then saving tags again causes the image to now register in search results. I’ve been having the same problem with some images for awhile now. Adding or removing tags doesn’t always cause them to show up in searches. I had just assumed it was my browser, I didn’t realize it was a larger problem with Derpibooru.

If I recall right fluffy ears was for when the actual ears were fluffy while ear fluff was for when only the inside of the ears were fluffy.

That does make a lot of sense, but if that’s their intended use, I’m not sure that’s well understood. After looking through both tags I’m seeing a lot of overlap between those two definitions. Either the tags need to be cleaned, or it would be best to merge the two since most users can’t seem to make the distinction between the two.

K. Also, voting on an image forces it to be reindexed, so if you see that happen, just vote in it (or change your vote and then change it back), and it should appear afterwards.

Solidude’s correct - two different things, people just aren’t using them correctly.

Is it possible to do a single-run, non-permanent alias with a search query?  
I ask because there are 1566 images with over 100 comments that don’t have the comments galore tag, and I really don’t feel like fixing that all manually, which made me think of:  
comment_count.gt:100 -> comments galore

comment_count.gt:100 isn’t a tag, it’s just a search operator. We can’t alias those at all.
 
Really, comments galore probably should be destroyed, it’s in the same boat as “upvotes galore”, “downvotes galore”, and “wall of faves”

That actually works better too - simply untagging it doesn’t cause the tag to stop existing, it’d still be referenced in filters, watch lists, tag history, etc, so the tag is still in the database. Destroying it completely removes the tag, so it’s a lot cleaner.

It’s kind of a toss-up as to which is used more often, but I think one should be aliased to the other for all of them (in the same direction, obviously).

Think something went wrong with an implication somewhere. We have a tag for Button’s mother that’s implied by an explicit tag that’s different from the regular tag as one can see in the address.
 
Can that just be aliased or should I make a note in the bug report thread?

That’s definitely not a bug, the tags simply have different characters representing the apostrophe.

The punctuartion in the smaller tag is not even a apostrophe. it’s a quotation mark.

There’s no “alternate apostrophe” used intentionally for tags on the booru, as far as I’m concerned. I believe that tag was a mistake, and it should be aliased.

That’s not a bug. the difference between the tags is that the correct one has a apostrophe and the wrong one has a quotation mark. the wrong one should be aliased to the correct one.
