I know all the characters are criticized

I just feel pinkie gets the worst of it. Especially by certain people here who wish she was removed from the show. I am sorry but no matter how much you hate a main character they are here to stay until the series ends. So a simple solution stop watching. Pinkie is not going anywhere neither is spike or starlight so haters do the fandom a solid and leave.

Who hates Pinkie Pie this much? There is just no way.

Pinkie haters enjoy depression that’s the only reason anyone can hate her. If you hate pinkie you must enjoy being miserable and depressed.

I probably don’t hang out in the exact same comments sections as you, but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone that dislikes Pinkie Pie. I wish I could be anywhere close to as cheerful as her.

Pinkie Pie is the type of character who, in the show is super lovable but if she was a person in real life you’d probably get fed up with her. I think it’s just how you look at her. Seriously I think she’s one of the most lovable, huggable, and adorable ponies ever :P

I think you mistake “Hate” with “Dislike her being written off as having crippling ADHD as her only trait”.

Pinkie’s great. Only time I remember seeing people talk trash about her was when I used to browse /mlp/.

Rarity is so brave and majestic,

All the stress she goes through and they wonder why she cries so much.

I disliked Pinkie most of the first season, and for pretty much the reasons Badumsquish laid out. But she had some moments in Season 2 where her good heart really shined through. By the end of “The Last Roundup” she had moved up from second least favorite pony (after Bon Bon) to third favorite. And she’s largely remained there since. She’d still be annoying as heck to spend too much time around, but she means well. And she would be a lot of fun to be around just enough.
