Whoops. I haven’t posted here in a while. I’m sorry. (I did actually write some HUGE replies to put here but I never got around to posting them since they’re still work in progress.)

(It is time.) Happy Father’s Day!
 
Now it is Father’s Day (in America) and it’s time for me to do this with dads. This one’s actually kind of harder compared to the Mother’s Day one because people either make lesbian spawns for their Next Gens with little to no dads in them (even gay ones) or they have dads but the dads are abusive jerkoffs. Also there’s this third case: The Next Gen Actually does have a bunch of good dads in them if you read the character’s bios but there’s no pictures of the OCs being drawn with their dads. :c
 
But I still managed to find cute dads for this dad spam, (and I’m very glad about that).

So I know that a lot of you guys have made next-gens based around ships that you like, but have you ever done the opposite and make next-gens out of ships you don’t like?
 
It’s apparently a pretty popular trend on DA. I think “NOTP’s” is what those next-gens normally go by.

I haven’t. Though I feel that’s mostly because I’m not too picky with ships. A lot of the ships that are my NOTPs are incest ships and pedophilic ships so that’s just something that I don’t want to get involved into for any of my Next Gens. At best, I’d choose a ship that I’m indifferent to or slightly dislike.

I also noticed that with a lot if them, they tend to get rather dark and depressing.
 
Then again I guess that is only natural if you are making an AU focusing on ships you hate lol

I don’t understand or see why that would be the case. I’ll use different ships from a different fanbase for an example. I like the Pokemon anime and if someone were to told me to pick ships I didn’t like for my Next Gen there and I chose ships like Ash/May, Brock/Misty, Dawn/Paul, and Jessie/Giovanni as the main ships, I’d try to make the ships work instead of going full blown dark and depressing with them.

Imguess that most of them probably want to make a dark/sad AU and I guess they figured it’d work well for an AU focusing on them shipping characters they don’t like.

That’s a fair point. I have some dark AUs myself but I wouldn’t want my main AU to be dark and depressing.

This is an OC that I’ve had for a while. Her name is Rosy Rascal, child of Hoops and Ditzy Doo. But for the longest time I have struggled with her color scheme so now I’m seeking opinions from outside sources.

They’re both really nice but I like the one on the right a smidge more though. The greyish rosy color still seems like a nice nod to her mother’s grey color scheme while still being a bit more unique to her.
