Pony Venting Thread

…Now I really regret asking that question…ugh…this is giving me a headache…

Also, everyone here is probably sick of hearing it by now, but I think the CMC’s cutie marks are the worst design in the entire series. The color combination is an eyesore, it clashes with their coats, and the whole shapes within shapes within shapes thing is just a mess. I couldn’t even find intentionally bad looking OCs with cutie marks as unfitting.
 
They tried to cram so much into it, but 90% of the time it’s just a purple and red blob, it’s like the cutie mark equivalent of a wall of text. And why make them match when they already had matching capes? The Mane 6 are destined to be BFFs and defenders of the universe, and yet they don’t have matching cutie marks. The Wonderbolts have matching team logos on their uniforms, but it’s not part of their cutie marks.
 
They had nearly the entire show’s production time to come up with something and yet the whole thing reeks of “There was no time!”

I hate their cutie marks too, but mainly because I can’t stop thinking of them as anything besides Shining Armor’s cutie mark with Sonata Dusk’s colors. What were they thinking?!!?!!?!?!!?! There’s nothing about them that reminds me of the CMCs personalities at all and they look so non-unique.

We didn’t think it would happen, but we finally reached the point where a canon character (other than Button Mash, more in another post) was believed by someone to be an OC.

There’s a lot more to Rarity, I wish we could have seen more potential.
 
They were just starting to develop which is why I haven’t given up hope for a new series.
 
What happened during the years they grew old together? We just might find out.

And when I quoted Zeb, it was to reference that quote to make a general message to the Background Ponies here or anyone else with similar grievances.

I hit Ctrl+F and searched the word “censor” to see if I ever used that word when I began my series of posts on this thread one week ago in the aftermath of the S9 finale.
 
I haven’t, but some of the others who replied to me have, and I’ve only gone as far as to tell them that I trust that what they are saying is true, given that they visit these forums more often than me.
 
So there’s your answer there.
 
However I will say that some moderator told me “you can stop now” in reference to my conduct on this thread (conduct that is entirely appropriate for a Pony Venting Thread, and is rated G to PG.) I never called it censorship, but it is stifling speech that should be allowed. That’s why I don’t usually look at the forums and community here. They have quite a negative reputation among the fandom that doesn’t use this place as their home base for MLP:FiM.

They could’ve been better I’ll admit, but overtime I just got used to them.

The only thing I can complain about the two-part final seasons is how we will never witnessed the “super epic battle” between both powerless princess and Starlight vs the three stooges.

I do honestly think it would have been more fitting if he remained short and weak.
 
Dragons grow via greed, something he is repulsed by. So, wouldn’t it have made sense if he couldn’t grow up because of this?

Yes and it also fits his personality. He loves being subservient and weak!!! Maybe Twilight will have to send him to the moon for 1000 years to reweaken him, just like what happened to Luna in Season 1 (was weaker than she used to be.)

Yeah, it’s a shame we only caught a glimpse of that. It was 100% certain that Starlight and the others couldn’t actually meaningfully injure the villains though, regardless.

Zecora, who is as we now know is not quite a dragon expert, judging from what Smolder said, kinda implied that dragons grow outside of that.
 
So him naturally growing up without greed growth was always on the table, even without Molt Down under consideration.

What gives with anthros?
