Or the Changelings disguised themselves as ponies close to the Mane 6 to let their guard down.
 
Not to mention that magic-nerfing rock Chrysalis made a throne out of.

One of the smartest things Queen Chrysalis did was never bragging about her Antimagic throne.

Did she drag it everywhere she wanted to make a capture? That somehow no other pony noticed?
 
I’m sure she had her minions lift it for her. Part of being an evil dictator means not having to carry stuff yourself :3
 
Though I never heard of it before that episode, at least the party’s friendly changeling made sure to try and mention it right away.

I was kind of amused by how Starlight’s plan to destroy the throne was to… pathetically try to chip away at it with nearby rocks. That was kind of a black comedy moment in the midst of the serious situation.

You know if Discord didn’t care about Fluttershy so much I would have said why doesn’t Discord just set up an impenetrable barrier around the Changeling hive and just starve them out.

This is true, I guess it shows that Chrysalis actually can keep secrets if she has to.

Actually now that I think about it I wonder if that’s how Chrysalis escaped capture? The dust from the throne covering her combined with the feeding the ponies experienced could have at least partially weakened their magic enough for her to escape… or maybe I’m just reaching to find a logical explanation for why they let her go so easily.

Well, either way, let’s hope that the Mane Six never get overwhelmed or kidnapped by anyone ever EVER again. They all need to learn self-defense like really badly (Just not Kavi Maga; despite what people may tell you, it is not the best means of self-defence).
