I actually believe in power levels. If they meant nothing then subverting them would also mean nothing.

I just realized another problem with Forever Filly. In the beginning, Rarity looks through a photo book containing past photo shoots that she and Sweetie Belle did together.
Notice that these photos are adventurous and intended more for older people.

Perhaps, but it still feels forced to me. While I don’t think Forever Filly is a terrible episode, I do think it could have been stronger if Sweetie Belle herself was fully learning the concept of growing up. Something like that is rarely done in a kids show, the only one I know that sorta did it was Franklin.

So it turns out Forever Filly could potentially be Season 7’s Boast Busters/Mare Do Well/One Bad Apple/Rainbow Falls/Princess Spike/Applejack’s Day Off. Maybe they should’ve gone with the idea of SB doing things on her own and being bored, in hindsight. In fact, they should do it in a flashback to make up for it.
Sidenote, does anyone think the show is looking to crash and burn in Season 9 like The Simpsons did?

So, Applejack’s the new Spike, and Spike’s the new Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash is the new Fluttershy, I guess? Then Fluttershy would be Pinkie (Assertive but friendly), Pinkie would be Twilight (neurotic), Twilight would be Rarity (Thinks she’s the best because she reformed a dictator), and finally Rarity is Applejack (babies her little sister).

I am the only person in the world that rates a show by episode and not whole seasons? Seriously, i never understood people claiming that “simpson season X sucks and Y is better”, i always have just rate the episode itself. I don’t like the episode “the 90s show” but i don’t shit on all the season for it, i am sure there was another episodes in that season i liked but right now I can’t remember which were.
