Say I had a thought….the artifacts in the finale of S8 were introduced in “A Matter of Principals” and it felt like they weren’t given that much importance, aside from End in Friend where Rarity and RD were looking for one of them. I feel like should’ve gotten more of importance.

Maybe they would have been explored further if next season wasnt the last one. Now they will probably scrap it to make place for final arcs of each mane6.
Does anyone know if the Best Gift Ever Holiday Special is available on Google Play? I’ve got season’s 1 through 8 on my phone with Google Play, but I can’t find the holiday specials on it…
@Dogman15
I still have the copy that was shared around here someplace when the Christmas Special had just aired, I just wish I could figure out what the heck Google Play Movies is doing with the stuff they put online for purchase and download, the stuff that’s in their library but is not available for me for some damned reason and so forth…
The weird shit that Google has been doing makes me wish that I could drop them and run something else on my phone, like that weird Ubuntu Linux phone project that I have heard of…
@Ping_chan
I barely bother with Google Play for movies, except to redeem the digital versions of movies I buy on Blu-ray/DVD. I then never use the digital version, or at least I haven’t had a reason to so far.
@Dogman15
The movies that I used to buy on bluray used to include Google play redeem codes, but the last batch include only a iTunes code and then some stupid studio specific “watch online from any device!” streaming app code.
I’m guessing a lot of movie studios would rather have online streaming services specific to then, for greater control over their content.
Just like how Bethesda opt’d out from offering Fallout 76 on Steam, and went with their own online software package, which pissed me off at first, but now I’m happily flipping Bethesda the bird. 🖕😊🖕 Get your shit together Bethesda!
@Dogman15
From my own personal experience, it varies who produced the movie, I myself haven’t seen a Google Play code in awhile, but then again I’ve stopped buying Blurays about 2 years ago, save for the random anime here and there.
But it seems like they always included a iTunes code.
@Ping_chan
I think all Disney-related movies (including Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel) send you to a website where you enter a code, and then you get a lot of choices for which service you want to redeem the movie on.
@Dogman15
My blu-ray collection is pretty devoid of Disney content. :p
Also to do that, you need to register for an account with Disney, right?
It used to be that the redemption codes were slapped inside the jewel case for the disc,
just like a video games license code…
Season 8 overall as a whole was a mixed bag to me. There were episodes that I loved, there were episodes that I didn’t like, and there were ones that were okay. I compare this season to Season 3 for being pretty average. Not a good season and not a bad season, just average. The Student Six was easily the highlight to me alonsgide the StarTrix episode.
