I highly doubt the hiatus w ould affect anything. Odds are tge people complaining about them have no life outside of MLP. And if people left over Mash then…

The fanbase hasn’t been killed, it’s just been slowly shrinking since the end of season 2. IMO the primary cause is the rise of other fandoms of other shows that sprang up within the last 5 years that many in the FIM fandom graviteted towards.

Other people like deep cartoons and those that try to be different, and I’m just enjoying this cute little show about ponies.
