It does matter when:
 
A) The movie is faithful to the source material unlike films like Bayformers, G.I. Joe and Jem.
 
And
 
B) Hasbro never gets as critically acclaimed as Disney.

Critics wanted a movie that is faithful to the source material since they disliked Bayformers, but when MLP arrived, they dismiss it. And we already know why. Although, kinda hypocritical to dislike a film that is faithful to the source material (MLP, Speed Racer) when they disliked a movie that departs drastically from the source material. (Fant4stic, American Death Note 2k17, Jem)
 
Unless there’s something more to the film than the accuracy to the source material.

Unless Hasbro prevents Lionsgate from bringing the film to Epix, Hulu and/or Amazon Prime or Nippon Netflix pulls an Annihilation/Cloverfield in terms of distribution for the film (maybe in Japan since EQG was brought to Netflix in Japan), I doubt it will arrive in the US.

The movie is still in theaters. It’s rare for something still getting big screen time to show up on the small screen.

You know they’re not in the same industry, right? Disney is a diversified multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate. Hasbro is a multinational toy and board game company. Those are not the same things.
 
Of course Disney is going to be better at what Disney does than Hasbro would be.
 
It’s like you’re saying that Honda gets better car reviews than Mattel does. How could anything else be the case?

I thought they took it out of the theatres to make way for other films, including Black Panther and Peter Rabbit or Insidious or Star Wars.
 
Besides, it’s now on home video. And yet it’s still in theatres? Wow, how weird.

It’s not about critics. Critics did praise those things and continue to do so because it’s Disney, not to mention they give awards to them. (with some exceptions such as Pirates of the Caribbean or other films)
 
It’s about how people on the internet disliked those things.
 
They hate Frozen because of its exposure when it became popular, especially the song “Let it Go”.  
They hated the MCU because of the fact that it’s lighthearted, the main characters do not get killed and it puts humor in their films, for example, Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  
And the new Star Wars gets hated because of how George Lucas isn’t involved and most of all about how the diversity in the new movies put people off and called it “SJW propaganda” just because of people like Rey, Jyn Erso or Finn.

No no no no no, the new Star Wars movie is disliked because it throws away anything having to do with who Luke Skywalker really is, makes the original trilogy utterly pointless while at the same time ripping off the entire plot of it and iconography of it with none of the substance to it, having plot holes in it just to make the themes the movie is trying to tell work, a completely unnecessary scene on a casino planet to throw in some token lines about the evils of capitalism and child labor and having set up plot point only to then reveal that they meant absolutely nothing

I thought people liked the MCU because it’s just pure fast-paced entertainment. MCU are real popcorn flicks.

As much as I liked the MCU, It’s weird how critics like Disney and hate Hasbro and DC. To me at least.

Critics hate Hasbro and DC? And while I don’t read or keep up with comics a lot people seem to agree that Marvel has DC beat in the movie department but vice versa for comics. But there was Wonder Woman recently and that was well-recieved so things could be changing for the DCU.

Justice League begs to differ. The score was just as rotten as the MLP movie. Which means DC and Hasbro has their reputations back to being “terrible movie studios” in the eyes of film critics thanks to that and the fifth Bayformers film.

How about just stop taking it to heart. Those are their opinions, no one says their opinions are law. If you like something then that’s what matters. Stop worrying about critics so damn much.

As much as I angrily disagree (I do not want to relapse by saying “love is dead” (I am sorry Chrys and LeoNero because of people expressing strong negative opinions that I feel like oppressing me when it really isn’t as I now realize it.) with his opinion, at least it’s a legit reason for people to dislike Star Wars.

To an extent but mostly because I hate the logic that those who backlash against the backlash say that people who dislike the movie is because of identity polities.

If we stay on topic, it would be bittersweet as the first half of the word is that I will never find out how did MCU gets more critical acclaim than Bayformers and G.I. Joe or how Frozen or Moana gets critically acclaimed than MLP: The Movie (yes I know the whole mainstream bias against MLP and it’s fanbase plz don’t remind me, just need other reasons why a movie that is faithful to the source material is not critically acclaimed), while the second half is that people will keep the talk related to the film.
 
Speaking of, I have seen the movie again with my niece at home, and despite a scene that I don’t like, I still like it.
