This is true, but also, what Status quo changes happened during these seasons? Like, RD got Tank and the MAne 6 started writing letters to Celestia, not just Twilight, . That’s it unless I’m forgetting something. Oh, and Cadance and Shining Armour, which remain somewhat controversial inclusions in the cast to this day.
 
There was no drama partially because they weren’t changing anything. They went with what was working.

Yes yes, season 7 was amazing, and all. But let’s just stick with the movie here?

S2 > S4 > S6 > S5 > S3 > S1 > S7

The first 2-3 seasons were good when I first started watching them. Post season 4, I started realizing how cringeworthy and dull they were; they were the equivalent of superficial preschool shows, where a story was hashed out for the sole purpose of teaching a lesson and the characters were simply there to play out the scenario. There wasn’t a hint that they were themselves, nor could they be relateable.
 
It wasn’t until during/after season 4 in which MLP become its own show consisting of varying characters with unique traits and creative locations. It was less of an educational kids show and more of a fleshed out animated series. I have no idea why people want to ignore the later seasons, saying it was steering towards something unwatchable when the series is becoming progressively better and moreso becoming its own series, becoming a show people should have more confidence in watching.
 
The earliest seasons are unwatchable, bar none.

I wouldn’t say they’re unwatchable, they have great episodes, like Best Night Ever and Return of Harmony, just that seasons 5 and 7 are the pinnacle of the show.

Maybe the seasons talks should go someplace devoted to seasons so the movie folks have a place to themselves?

Skirting the meat of your question, everything I see says the movie is still in preorder until Dec 19, 2017 - where are you seeing it available for sale?

Oh - sorry, I misunderstood the question. And, honestly, I thought I might have missed something. All the release dates are still “This information is subject to change”, and sometimes that stuff changes fast.
 
Uhm … all I can say is that if I see that someone uploads something from the movie today I’ll report it for Rule #1.
 
Beyond that, if LionsGate or AllSpark came out with an official announcement that it’s ok to upload images of their movie to fan sites, that would be really nice, but I’m not really expecting that to happen.
 
And, personally, I think a better “It’s ok to host images from the movie now” date would be when the movie airs on Discovery Family or something like that - being available on DVD or iTunes is still pretty “We’re expecting to make money from this” territory, so I will be looking to the admins for guidance as to whether we’re supposed to change the Rule #1 policy toward the movie, and the 19th will be an interesting day. Right now, all things being equal, I would presume that we would continue to enforce the Rule #1 until the movie primers on Netflix or Discovery Family or something like that.
 
And, again - all of this is speculation on my part. If LionsGate’s or AllSpark’s stable of lawyers sends a “We’re shutting you down” letter to the site, then that might change things, and it might not.
 
Right now the best answer might be “Until one of the admins says something publicly and officially, don’t make assumptions and we’ll wait and see what happens.”
 
And if the movie is on Netflix I’ll be super surprised if we’re still deleting images from it. But until then I won’t be surprised if things don’t change.

Welp… I actually don’t think it’s a problem, unless here’s somebody who desperately wants these images in HD. I’m patient, so I don’t think it’s a big deal. I’ll buy the DVD when I find it in the next months.
