Often times her intentions are positive though. Her approach is just too way out there most of the time.
There is a thing of being “too nice and helpful” where it becomes a nuisance and obnoxious.

She’s also loud, shrill, obnoxious, and her being “funny” boils down to “I’M RANDOM AND DO STUPID SHIT AND GET AWAY WITH IT LOLZ”. Rainbow Dash actually has some charisma to balance out the obnoxious half. Pinkie Pie doesn’t.

Agreed. Pinkie’s my least favorite of the mane 6, but she has some astonishingly good episodes.
Right About Everything
To me she’s the Anti-applejack.Applejack is a great supporting character who struggles when given focus. Pinkie Pie is really tricky as a side character because there’s a temptation to make her a lolsorandum joke machine. While when the show calms down and gives her focus she’s really engaging.

Pinkie’s randomness is what makes her enjoyable, while her also being the nicest character says a lot too.

Of all the adjectives I could use to describe the Ponk, “not nice” is not one of them. Anyone who constantly throws parties for her friends and ignores all personal boundaries to hug anyone and everyone within arm’s reach is not mean by any stretch. Whether she’s annoying sometimes, is another matter.

Worst example of this was this one fanfic where she outright said that she knew exactly how to solve the problem in seconds… but wouldn’t do it because otherwise there’d be no story.
