The only thing that is canon is what you think for yourself. Seriously, since I’m a middle-aged adult person who loves versatility I just have these few words for you: In my opinion, canon is what seems to you to be canon. And I wouldn’t give a shit what anyone thinks or what Hasbro/DHX/IDW says.
Why? Because even the great makers makes mistakes (Trixie would grin here). Haven’t you ever noticed? That some things just don’t make sense? So, as a being gifted with reason, should you not decide for yourself what makes sense and what should be and what not? Seriously, let the others believe what they want. I give a s**t about “the internet - that guy”. John de Lancie Style.
For me Lyra & BonBon are so gay that I already have no words for it. I can’t understand all this nonsense and the arguments. Denial is not an award, dear “You-ignoring-the-fact-that-Hasbro-will-never-make-this-canon-because-they-are-toysellers-people”. Business is magic. (head-shaking)
Just turn on your brains and don’t let others do the thinking for you. So much for “unpopular” opinion. I’ll never be a sheep in a herd. Seriously, why do you have heart & mind not to decide for yourself? You have to be very authoritative to always ride on the canon card. Tsss…
I have nothing left but despite for such people. Because they do neither themselves nor the fandom a favour. They are only willing helpers of a system that they themselves believe has some authority. And that’s not only adapted, it’s pathetic in the truest sense of the word. You should think for yourself. End of Line.
