I fear most people would ignore the colors, like they ignore the numbers in tags, but at least the site would try to guide them.
(Related: we should namespace more stuff. Episode names, movie names, and character names could all be namespaced easily.)

Feature request: in the tagging autocomplete list, color the backgrounds of the suggested tags according to the same background color they receive in the finished tag list.
I’ve mistakenly used yet another character tag because I didn’t realize it was somepony’s name instead of the noun for an object in the scene.

Hey, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I noticed this weird bug on iPhone where there’s a bunch of empty space on the right side of the screen. It’s only there when I’m signed into the site and it happens on Chrome and Safari. I should note that this empty space isn’t there on other sites like Twibooru, even if I’m signed in there.

Site moderators decide what is “obligatory pony”.
To illustrate my confusion, my latest artwork, >>3437727 (deleted), has been deleted for that very rule, whereas a very similar picture I uploaded last year, >>3196500 (deleted), is still up.
Well, that’s ironic.
The presence of an image on the site, even for a long time, is not evidence that it is not rule-breaking. That simply means a moderator has not seen it, and neither has any other user seen it and cared to report it.
Does the clarity/obscurity of the MLP character in question matter here? What about the number of MLP chars vs the number of outsider IP chars?
You’d have to get a reply from the moderators for an official answer. In my personal opinion, neither of those have definite measurements. Instead, especially when the work is composed of things you did not make (eg. public 3d models, vectors, screencaps), the most important question is “what’s the point?” If the image’s purpose is to show characters interacting, or to highlight similarities in their personalities, or because they share a voice actor, then there is an MLP-related reason for the image to be here. If the purpose is just “here are a lot of things I like all in the same image”, that’s not likely to meet the pony-relatedness threshold.

Ok, here’s a super easy one (redirect to explicit image on e6ai) They uploaded it here, it was almost immediately reported for emulating Twisted Scarlett’s style.
That report included the image being reported, the artist whose style the reporter believed was being emulated, and it was easy to find matches between the
ai generated image and the artists’ styles.Note: This is an exceptionally obvious example. Others are less obvious.
But - as has repeatedly been said by others on staff - we look at the result. If the resulting image is not plausibly emulating an artist’s style, it’s not plausibly emulating that artist’s style.
Someone simply using a LoRA - especially a LoRA like Styles for Pony Diffusion V6 XL - is not in and of itself proof of a Rule #1 violation.

Okay, now im really curious what a example of style-theft would be then? What level of similarity does it have to have? Please enlighten me and show me at what level you consider it apign a style. Does it have to be a replica of a exact image?

You just made that up. Cool.
- This specific lora’s first versions came out well before there was drama about style loras, and was always “generic styles” intentionally meant to not copy specific artists. How that gets used is a different matter.
- CivitAI isn’t afraid of getting sued over this, its users definitely aren’t, loras and models explicitly copying specific artists still get uploaded daily, and there’ve also always been loras that make it a point to not do that and just offer generic “cartoonish, 90s anime, realistic” etc. mixes that don’t match anyone.

The policy doesn’t care about the techniques used, just the result.
That said we don’t appreciate people lying to push the scales one way or the other; a lot of time has been spent tracking down images on other sites to get prompts or PNG chunks, asking the prompters what they did, and even asking potentially affected artists what their own opinion is. Many have been banned for ignoring the rules, hiding it, or just lying, never mind images deleted. Your malcontent reeing is based on some fantasy of your own concoction and does nothing to help your position.
Big props to whoever resurfaced this thread ~2 weeks before we were going to update things, cheers.

Thank you for finally reporting some images. Although, your reports are completely useless. A well formed Rule #1 report should at the very least include the name of the artist whose work you believe is being emulated or whose copyright is being violated, and ideally should include an example of WHY you believe this, whether it’s a link to the image that was traced, or images by the artist that have similar characteristics to the image you reported.
Just reporting any random image for Rule #1 for the reason “You know what this report is about” or “doing your job for you” is … seriously, stop that.
If you’re going to report an image for Rule #1, provide the documentation that supports your claim. Tell us WHO you think is being emulated, and show us WHY you think that is happening.

ai generated images for Rule #1 if they look like they are emulating an artist’s style. We’ve deleted 11 such images in just the last couple of weeks, including banning the prompters when they won’t stop.From Rule #1:
• Do not use AI to emulate an artist’s personal style without clear approval from the artist … Unintentional “style copying” due to model biases may be deleted after review.
But you have never provided even a SINGLE example of someone’s style being emulated. You just keep complaining that LoRAs exist.

You can train these things on a dozen pictures and up and Assasin monkey has far more then that. So if Derpys policiy is “we will only delete pictures aping artists styles if we have writen proof by the guy making his computer shit them out that he trained it on them” then yeah, no pictures ever will get deleted

Notice no reference to assasinmonkey or any artist at all for that matter because the entire point of the ‘styles for pony diffusion’ family of models is they don’t replicate any specific artist.

If it’s on this site, that makes it a lot easier. Then we can ask; “Does this break our rules?” and “Even if it does break a rule, is it worth preserving for some reason?”
It’s hard to answer a purely speculative “Might we?” question. But if there’s an example, we have something we can talk about and vote on.
