Normally you would have been court marshalled, arrested, or killed. But you have skills, and since a war is on, your…. Unique skills will be put to use. (Ever see “dirty dozen” or play “raid: world war 2”? This is basically that.)  
You are not the only one given this special treatment. You will have to work with your new partners in crime to make up for what you did. And if a little loot goes missing while you carry out your mission… I don’t think anyone will notice.

Notes: She was convicted as a spy due to her snooping around in areas she shouldn’t and her unwillingness to give up any background information, however she didn’t hesitate to accept when she was offered a chance to fight. She’s also a very good shot provided she has a weapon suitable and she’ well aware of her appearance and isn’t above using it to her advantage.

The squad is taken to a command center. They are not handcuffed, but are followed by armed soldiers. U.S. according to their uniforms. An officer stands in front of them. “Do you know why you are here?” He asks, with an English accent.

Aurora tilted her head a bit, her ear flicking. She had been told the basics before she agreed to this….but not much more. “More or less.” She shrugged hoping for a bit of a better explanation.

Red Glare makes a grunt noise, as if he didn’t care either way.  
The officer speaks up again. “You have done things that you really should not have done. I have read the dossiers, and I know your records. It would be a shame to lose excellent soldiers such as yourselves. And you will not be wasted on the front lines. I’m sure you are familiar with the concepts of commandos. You will be used as special forces, causing chaos behind enemy lines. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?”

“Behind enemy lines you say?” She thought about it briefly shrugging again. “Sounds like a job I could do. Certainly better than charging directly at a bunker.”

The squad is taken to a bigger room, with maps, support staff, and weapons.

Aurora seemed more interested in the weapons rather than the maps. “So we allowed to pick whatever we can carry or what?”

“Yes, that’s right. We even have a few of those Sturmgewehr (stg44) weapons the germanes have got. Oh, and lieutenant, I believe this is yours.” He hands Red Glare a Colt revolver with a wooden grip.

She couldn’t quite decide what to pick taking a look over at the maps. “Any information regarding our area of operation?”

“First things first. You will be deployed into prance, close to the capital. There is an underground bunker in a village left over from the last war. The Germanes don’t know it exists. You will be operating out of said bunker, where mission details will reach you via encrypted messages from radio. The Mareicans will be airdropping supplies for you lot.”

“So we won’t have to worry about supplies? Good to know. In that case…” She took another look at the assortment of guns, grabbing a Thompson and a scoped M-1, as well as a C96 as a sidearm. “Got any blades too?”

(M1 Garand or M1 carbine? Or the M1 Johnson?) A quartermaster opens up a case full of knives. Some appear to be bowie knives the Mareicans use, as well as a few daggers, straight knives, and other designs. Red Glare holsters the 1917 revolver he had, then picks up a Tommy Gun and a few grenades.

She went right for a machete. Then grabbed a tomahawk as an afterthought. She looked back at the guns seriously debating if she had room for any more, but decided against it instead moving on to other accessories and such. She clearly didn’t want to get caught with her metaphorical pants down.

No expense was spared. Trip mines, knifes, guns, explosives, tools, false papers, etc. “Courtesy of the S.O.E. and the O.S.S.” the officer says. Red takes a Trench gun as well as the Thompson. Then picks up a small straight knife. “We used the same knives in the C.E.F.”
