Dark perked his ears to the sound. He turned into shadow and went towards the sound.

Sombra: Wh- HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!  
Dark goes to the source of the sound, and materializes. He stiffs in shock at what he sees. Its……….him. As a foal, crying for his father. The sight stirs something in him. Suddenly, Sombra runs back in.  
Sombra: Stay away from my son, you insolent pest!

Dark rolled his eyes as he looked at Sombra. “Look at the similarities between us. Is there something you notice?”
 
He snorted in Sombra’s face.

Sombra shoves him aside and picks up the baby in his magic, then begins to comfort him.  
Sombra: It’s alright, son, it’s alright, no need to cry…  
Foal Dark begins to stop crying and looks at him. Sombra looks back for a while, then looks at Dark. He glances between the two of them.  
Sombra:………..no……..you can’t be……  
Sombra looks at him, his evil aura fading a bit.  
Sombra:…….son?

“safely underground, did you know the whole place is nearly hollowed out with emergency tunnels? apparently in case the place is snowed in ponies would get around down there.”

Bytes: Oh, really? Huh. Wonder why they didn’t just use them back when Princess Cadence’s foal broke the Crystal Heart…..Oh, that reminds me! We gotta make a plan!  
Bytes trots to a nearby table and sits down. He takes out the map of the Crystal Empire and lays it flat on the table.  
Bytes: Alright, any ideas?

Cerus: “the presence of that mini Sombra is a concern… he is too old to be recently conceived but we can be sure the old king did not father him when he was 10… coming back from that loop, i fear we had a passenger when coming here. and that means he could inform the king.”

Bytes: Well, hold on now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. We need a plan first. I was thinking we find the Crystal Heart and use it on him. Only problem is that we never found out where it was.

His evil aura fades completely, and he looks back at Foal Dark. He coos softly. Sombra looks back at Dark.  
Sombra:……what is it, son?

Sombra: Oh, please, you think your father can’t handle some amateur assasins?  
Sombra gives Foal Dark a kiss on the head and puts him back in his crib (that I for some reason didn’t mention). Then he looks back at Dark.  
Sombra: Though, time travel? No, I don’t think I know anything about that. But, I mean, there was Starswirl’s spell……..why?
