Snowfall:Cold Frontier (NSFW, Anthro)

Ponykind’s desire to advance in the universe is an unending desire. We never stopped wanting to learn more, to explore, to know everything. This stretched on for ages and ages in the world of Equestria, then into the world beyond, and now it has spread into the cosmos.
 
The desire for ponykind to either conquer or explore the universe was one that was not left unfulfilled. We built magic-powered spaceships that would allow us to traverse the cosmos and we used it to explore galaxies we otherwise could only have dreamed about reaching. We traversed the surface of scalding hot desert planets, and we hiked blistering cold planets of ice. We swam through vast, empty oceans, and and more.
 
But, one day, when I was piloting a ship home from a voyager trip, it started to malfunction for reasons I am unaware. It was shaking violently, and I didn’t think there was any safe thing to do besides crash it safely on the nearest planet before us: An uncharted planet which we had determined to have a freezing climate. I’ve set the red alarms all across the ship, telling everypony to get onboard the escape pods, and safely land onto the planet. Where are you in the story?

Your pod ejects safely, and deploys into the planet’s atmosphere. You land with the pod’s main exit facing into the snow.

As my ship heads into the atmosphere, I head for my escape pod, and duck below the smoke as I ran.

I cover my mouth and keep moving. The escapes pods were far from here. I take out a few uneeded items from my pack in order to not be weighted down.

“Marines don’t abandon ship a lot… But I guess this is one of the few times we don’t have a choice” I say, making sure I still had my rifle as I run for an escape pod with the other marine.

remembering protocol, I try to get the beacon and communications up and call around for anyone else that made it.

She nods, and opens the pod for you, before kneeling down and coughing hard.

I grunt in pain and fall to the floor, now crawling along the ground. The escape pods were so close.

I help her into a pod, and get her into a seat. “You okay?” I ask, closing the door and engaging the restraints.

the lifepods were generally built to refresh their juice with solar power, that meant that somewhere between the relay and the batteries a cable was busted… and that meant he had to dig through the wiring.

After more coughing, she replies, “Yes. But, I wanna get to safety. Please.”
 
 
I, on the other hand, held a fire extinguisher as I approached my pod, and climbed in. I waited for someone else to approach me, vowing not to leave anyone behind. After a few minutes, I saw my second in command approach me, and I called out to her. “Hurry! Over here! Get in!” And she came running. I pulled her in, shut the door, and, being alarmed by the fire, hit the eject button.

I couch and wheeze and take a few calming breathes before looking at my savior. “Thanks.” I said.

I hit the eject switch, launching us away from the ship.
