the times of this Equestria are considerably darker than usual, the empire, founded by the royal sisters is beset on all sides. Warlords of the entire world seek to slake their thirst for blood, power or riches.
 
Empress Celestia has called her nobles to arms, wielding but mere ponies with faith, gunpowder, and steel they can only hope that their numbers and forts hold until their cannons wear the enemy down.
 
Dark and tainted the corrupted equestrians form up under whichever warlord survives the cruel trials of the chaos deities, which in turn imbue him with immense, near unstoppable power.
 
The hearty crystal ponies, seek only to defend their homes and their beloved King, claim not that he bears taint or you will suffer the champions’ wrath. traditional though they may be a soldier of them is worth ten of any other.
 
From the underground, wielding dangerous alchemistic weaponry and energies best left untouched, the changelings seek to take what they have been denied for so long, the stones empowering constructs which deliver nothing less than death with immense reach.
 
the diamond dogs sought safety with the minotaurs, their likeminded friends and their love to conquer and pillage. fielding the formerś cunning and the latterś strength they make for a dangerous combination.
 
The deer were pulled in by the corrupted forces, their ancient magics and disciplined soldiers bolstering the ranks of all who oppose the ruinous but make no mistake, they hold no love for the younger cultures and their flaws.
 
Neither do the Deer’s own corrupted, while not tainted by dark gods they follow instead the darkness of their own hearts, addicted to combat and efficient in it, they are the most dreaded raiders and pirates in the world.
 
finally the griffons, perched in their mountain cities they were content to trade their masterful weaponry, but when the call for help rang out, the righteous among them took up their axes and swore their oaths, as their corrupted ilk joined the worship of the ruinous powers.
 
the armies are fated to meet, and the blood will run in rivers, will the land itself breathe in relief as the taint are banished or will it cry out in agony as all life is consumed?
 
(here we go, crossover thread to warhammer fantasy, the players will take the place of champions, an easy decision once it dawned on me that any army will have more than one. all Canon and OCs are allowed but please refrain from overly exotic species, the ones present here are understandably a bit distrustful.)

-if everyone else Plays Pony however the chaos Forces will increase to match.

strength: an undivided champion of the corrupted he fights well rounded in trickery, pestilence and fierce rage, his weapons of choice, Blade and axe, have claimed many victims.
 
weakness: lacking favor of a single god he maintains a comparably weaker flesh and does not excel in any direction.
 
notes: he is the first in a long time to manage remaining unspecified.

Strength: Gregor is a veteran of many battles and has killed so many he lost count ages ago. His weapon of choice is his trusty battle axe, he also carries around a thick shield that has saved his life more than once. His armor was forged by his ancestors and to this day few can its level of craftsmanship.
 
Weakness: Although he is a brutal fighter up close he lacks any ranged capabilities and he is slow.
 
Notes: Despite being a veteran warrior he is not one for strategy.
 
 
Name: Gareth the Giantslayer

Side: Griffon
 
Strength: Gareth is a slayer and a damn good one. To his continued disappointment he has survived numerous battles against giant beasts and seemingly impossible odds. He wields two axes and has incredible strength that is complimented by his relentless savagery.
 
Weakness: Like all slayers he wants to find death in battle and refuses to wear any armor and will often charge headfirst into battle without a care in the world.
 
Notes: He feels he must atone for failing his brother who died while fighting the warriors of chaos. The only way he can find redemption is by dying in battle…preferably after slaying a demon.
 
Name: Gwendolyn
 
Sex: Female
 
Side: Griffon
 
Strength: Gwendolyn is an engineer who wields a wide assortment or weapons and gadgets. Although she usually flies into battle on her personal gyrocopter but will be willing to fight on the ground of the situation calls for it. For melee she wields an axe that doubles as a gun, for short range she uses a blunderbuss and a multitude of pistols, for medium range she uses a grenade launcher, for long range she uses a crossbow. She also has a few other tricks up her sleeve.
 
Weakness: assuming one could get through her onslaught of weapons and gadgets she is at best a decent melee fighter, she wears little armor, and as a consequence of lugging around so much equipment she is incredibly slow.
 
Notes: She is an eccentric inventor and is always excited for the opportunity to test her new gadgets and inventions.

I was thinking that Gregor could lead traditional griffon warriors, Gareth leads a band of slayers, and Gwendolyn leads a squadron of gyrocopters. I kinda wanted to make them like a team of sorts.

Strength: Toffee has been brought up in a military setting his whole life. His father was a General in the Equestrian Skyguard. Due to this he is very adept in leading, sniping, and stealth. He also always wears his fathers leather jacket
 
Weaknesses: He has a hard drinking habit and can sink into depression. Sometimes his plans are very over the top
 
Notes: He feels he is responsible for the destruction of the weather factors, he also feels its his fault his father died in Stalliongrad

Strength: Being more of the magical persuasion, she has managed to (nearly) match that of Twilight herself.
 
Weakness: That being said, her pride and confidence usually gets the better of her- not to mention that much of her strength comes from the same realm the Ruinous Powers reside, rendering her vulnerable if one (or more) decides to focus on her in the midst of casting.
 
Notes: Commands a mixed army- but a strong section is mages.

Fur: Red.
 
Eyes: Blue.
 
Mane: Lightish red(A cookie to who ever gets the reference ).
 
Height: 6’4
 
Side: Pure.
 
Strengths: A higher then average strength coupled with a suit of heavy plate armor with the symbol of the crystal empire emblazoned on the chest plate and a cloak with the symbol of the empire’s capital on it along with a large shield in one hand with the symbol of his force, a image of waves crashing upon a coastal cliff painted on to it and sword in the other.
 
Weaknesses: In addition to the slow speed from the weight of his gear he can be at times be described as stubborn by griffin standards.
 
Notes: Has a scar across his cheek from a time that his helmet was cracked in. He has a particular disdain for those who harm civilians especially those who go about it with a casual attitude.

The Battle at the foothills of canterlot mountain was over, and at a heavy cost of troops and material the Chaos General lay dead and his demonic aides around him, the large force he had brought into their lands scattered to a myriad of smalltime champions that now had to be hunted down, for this very reason bith Starfall and Toffee were now moving their detachments towards ponyville, following the path of carnage a fleeing warband had left.
