Is there a tag for distinctive hooves on ponies, like on big mac.

If they’re like Big Mac’s we usually tag those as unshorn fetlocks. If the hooves are a different color from their coat but don’t have that shaggy, overlap from their coat we mostly use colored hooves.

The issue is it’s a subjective idea. What is unique to one person won’t be to another. You tag a picture based on facts, not what you think.
 
Yes I know there’s a pile of cute and silly tags, and arguments repeatedly flare about those being a bad idea too.
 
If you want to build a gallery of such images that’s your prerogative, and is exactly what galleries are for.

Is there a tag for images with pony skins on video game cars? There’s hundreds of these images, and it’d be nice to have a single tag to filter these out.  
 
(I made a post for this a while back, but I wasn’t too specific.)

How about pony cars? I’d like to be able to filter them as well, but as with the wallpaper edit tag, the real problem would be getting the two or three people responsible for 99% of those uploads to actually bother tagging them properly.

Unless one of the names is official, I don’t like when two fan names imply each, usually just unnecessary imo.  
I’d put my opinion towards an alias.

If that happens, I feel like a bit of a vote is in order to see which one people want as the main tag while the other is aliased.
 
Edit: Same goes for Blizzard Rain/Frosty Quartz, Lavender Bunch/Cherry Quartz and Tag-a-long/Ginger Snap.

older starlight should be aliased to older starlight glimmer, since starlight is a ship tag.
 
Missing implications:

“Starlight” is actually the name of a separate character, not a ship.
 
So there’s a tag for a character who has her “older” tag being used for another character.

It’s standing policy to have them imply each other unless one of the names is very recent and/or forced by somebody. In this case both names have been around for a few years.

Aliased older starlight to older starlight glimmer and then unaliased it to force the watches/hides onto that tag, and added the implications.
 
Also added the [name] and older tag implications to all six of the older student six tags, which all lacked them.

Alright, that does make sense.
 
In the case of the latter (Tag/Ginger), however, I don’t really get why there was an alias done when there was no confirmation on the character’s name from any official source, the only source was that she was called Little Pony in the credits, sorry for dragging this up again.
 
As for the former two, maybe having a revote for the names could work out.

busty princess cadance implies breasts and princess cadance, and while the latter is fair, the former implies more about the image than simply the busty tag should. breasts on an image implies either a pair of uncovered breasts, or that breasts are the primary focus of an otherwise clothed figure.
 
I was just surprised to see breasts land on an image I’d uploaded, and when I checked why it was me who’d done it (with the busty princess cadance tag).

I don’t think the breasts tag is that restrictive. It’s fine on being an image with rather prominent ones.

We’ve got lots of these cases. See also Drama Letter & Watermelody (a one-way implication only for some reason), Berry Blend & Berry Bliss, Citrine Spark & Fire Quacker, Cinder Glow & Summer Flare, the three-way combination Tootsie Flute & Liza Doolots & Petunia.
 
And then there are the cases where there is an “official” name, but we don’t want the fan name to fully perish, also because the official name came from Hasbro’s toy designers rather than from the show, e.g. Carrot Top & Golden Harvest, Berry Punch & Berryshine, Honey Curls & Mare E. Lynn.
 
Crimson Cream & Fashion Statement & Mare E. Belle is a combination of two fan names and one Hasbro blindbag name.
 
If we want to reduce ‘‘everypony’’ to a maximum of one name, we’ll have to a) introduce a ranking system like the Wiki (Show/comics > Hasbro > licensees > Wiki > fandom) and b) wipe popular fan names from the face of Derpibooru forever by stashing them away as aliases.
 
A big downside of aliases is that people who don’t know all the various background pony names can’t tell from the tags whether or not a name is already taken, e.g. Colgate.

Which is why I’ve suggested displaying “aliased into: [primary name]” instead of “0” on aliased tags. Would help not only with pony names.

I don’t really think we should consider the wiki higher than the fandom, considering the wikis run by members of the fandom (that and, it’s just me, but I take issue with some of the names over on the wiki as well and the fact its painfully easy to vote manipulate on Reddit too).
