Looking For My Doctor
Re: “Maga”, I suppose? But it’s only got a little more than 100 images, and even though it goes all the way back to Reagan’s time, it’s kind of a very focused short term thing. That said, at least a full third of them are NOT political - they’re tagged “MAGA” because it’s a parody, and the parody itself is not political, vis:
So … eh. It’s probably not necessary. If folks are doing something with that slogan because they want to be political, it’s usually pretty obvious, and people have generally been very good at tagging the images appropriately, either at upload or soon thereafter.
As for Donald Trump implying Politics, there are TONS of images that are Donald Trump parodies or references that aren’t political, vis:
So, probably not for that, either. There’s just too much to Donald Trump from all his work as a land lord to his celebrity work, and the political stuff is also usually well tagged - and having the implication might paint non-political images as political.
And, I’m assuming you meant those tags respectively, so … that leaves “Hitler” implying “Nazi”, and …
Yeah - you guessed it, there’s TONS of Hitler images that aren’t about Nazies.
For example:
These are all GREAT examples of why tagging is such a deliberate and thoughtful process.
Some might disagree with me, but in all of these cases, it seems to me that while it’s reasonable that all these things SHOULD imply these other things, in practice they actually aren’t being used that way.
And for me if something isn’t a common practice, I prefer to refrain from implying it.
But - others might have different opinions. Whatever the result, these were an interesting selection of tags, and while at first I was thinking, ‘Sure - why not?’, after looking at how they were used on the site, I ended up with thoughts ranging from “Probably not” to “Nope.”
