Quadrupedal characters that are not the five "pony" races - tag for bodyplan needed

I could see that tag being useful, except… I considered suggesting “human on equestrian action” for a more general human-insert tag, but that’s worded too close to “human on equestria girls action” and I think it’d autocomplete wrong too often. There’s a “human on x action” tag for the majority of these things already, as well.

To be honest, it feels like we’re trying to find an oddly specific tag to generalize a discrete list of species while excluding a lot of things that would ordinarily meet that tag’s definition. The alternative is to help educate users on how to better utilize the existing tags. I’d bet most users wouldn’t even think to check the tags page and use its wildcard search to help turn up tag names they don’t know or don’t remember.

1. too much effort if other tag was to be used instead (quadruped)

   Maybe there should be yet another ubrella tag for “(anthro OR human) on equestrian species in it’s canonical bodyplan”. But that would includes bipeds like dragons, draconequuses, minotaurs, so not really the same as the tag I previously proposed, for just the quadrupeds.

That’s pretty much where my mind was at when I suggested my alternative tag, but I shot it down myself for being too similarly named to an existing tag. It could be that I’m not seeing why non-pony quadrupeds are such a big deal compared to the slightly broader view of all non-pony sentient species, or that I’m having trouble seeing why four legs is the logical stopping point along the way from pony to all of Equestria.

I have a tendency to think out loud and play devil’s advocate with myself, sorry. I’m used to thinking outside the box to solve problems, so a lot of suggestions I make can sound off-topic or irrelevant. It’s my way of making sure something isn’t being overlooked.

I usually distinguish sapience by ‘feral’ and ‘animal’ where the former is body shape, while the latter refers to a nonsapient creature.

The work-to-benefit ratio just seems so unnecessarily lopsided.

Generally speaking, if some user starts mass tagging a tag - particularly one for which there’s a discussion thread that has not yet reached a resolution - it’s not well received.

And I’m of the opinion that we haven’t really reached a consensus yet. I don’t see the sort of posts I usually do when that happens. Instead, there’s been a protracted debate that just sort of petered out over the last couple days. For certain, there hasn’t been a post from a mod confirming the best course of action to take.
