Not really; an artist tag for René Magritte only applies to one image under all three tags – all the others are just references to or parodies of his works – and it’s the one tagged artist:rene magritte.
 
Correcting the spelling of the artist tag, and aliasing the simplified version to the correct one I can agree with, though.

@TexasUberAlles @Exhumed Legume - In cases like these, we just use the artist’s name, like pablo picasso, without “artist:”, so I fixed the misspelling and aliased all the variants to rené magritte.
 
Also fixed the aliases for Pablo Picasso while I was in the neighborhood.

what should we do about artist:pashoo and artist:nakedsharks ? Do we keep both since the artist’s account is Pashoo and both tumblr blogs are used (pashoo and naked-sharks)? Which would we merge to if we did? Because it’s kind of odd to have two links for the same artist where the artist doesn’t have specific content for each account.

There’s no pic for the former (right now), but from the blog alone (linked in images, for instance >>1423978, >>1179340) it’s not obvious that “askasteriskthewitch” is dreadcoffins unless you know dreadcoffin’s tumblr (linked >>568365) which states in the sidebar that he/she manages askasteriskthewitch.

@Ivegotcats [update: Done.] They actually have two separate Tumblrs - one explicit and the other not. I’ve PMed them asking if they want the second Tumblr set up. Artist replied, answer is yes.
 
@Background Pony #FA34 - _That artist has several Tumblrs, but all the images are already under their single artist tag. I need to look at how other artists with multiple Tumblrs are set up and see how the scrubber is handling the artist name. (still working on this one)

So, upon closer inspection… yeah it does look like something weird is going on here. The main page for that artist at http://caibaoreturn.deviantart.com doesn’t redirect, and it seems like any image link on DeviantArt will redirect to the correct artist no matter what you put in the subdomain. (E.g. http://asdf.deviantart.com/art/Tons-of-fluttershy-630217122 redirects to tungstemwillow too.)
 
tungstemwillow’s account does have a lot of caibaoreturn’s art though; maybe it’s just another person reuploading caibaoreturn’s stuff? There are a bunch of artworks tagged as artist:caibaoreturn that have a source link pointing to tungstemwillow’s DeviantArt… https://derpibooru.org/search?q=artist_{3Acaibaoreturn}2C+source_url%3Adeviantart.com
