Blocking someone

There is a certain user, who I can’t stand. She is annoying, and just really knows how to get on people’s nerves. Instead of comment wars, is there a way to block these kinds of people?

There are externally maintained scripts to do so. Otherwise, just ignore them, and if they’re actually breaking any rules, report them.

Why? Forgive me, but it seems like derpibooru would be a much better place for all, if users could just block people they don’t like. I’m sorry but I have to criticize, some things really need to change.

I am not going to explain for the nth hundredth time why we’re not implementing that feature.

In order to block comments or posts from specific users, you’ll have to install either Tamper Monkey (if you’re on chrome) or Grease Monkey (if you’re on firefox)
 
Then install this userscript.

It would just be abused.
 
People blocking over dumb stuff much like DA people do because they say something other than “Nice art.” People act like they have to read someone’s post when all you have to do is click the x button on the top right and go eat some dinner. Usually in such an event I would either ignore or state that I’m done talking. Depends on the mood.
 
It’s not like you work with them or anything, I hope. That’d be much worse.

I always thought blocking (and in some places, permabanning) was a horrible practice that taught people to be socially lazy and adopt an “everyone’s a hater but my echo chamber” mindset  
I’ve never seen it used by a person smart enough not to abuse it
