i uploaded the wrong image

i recently uploaded an image thinking it was one version, but it turned out to somehow be the image that was already on the site. please help, how do i delete it, im so sorry and i dont want to get banned from derpibooru aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Worry not, this sort of thing happens all the tine; if we banned people for accidentally uploading a dupe we’d have no users, or mods, left…

aaahh, okay. that made my heartbeat go back down by about 50 bpm. thank you xD

no! it happened again! its because the link i put in the upload, it defaulted to the image i didnt want  
i think im starting to see why no one uploaded this image before

the system is acting super weird, creating comments i didnt post, grabbing the wrong image. apparently i can only have ONE tab open at a time

forget it, it’s not working. im done risking it

If you put a site url, like a twitter post, in “link a deviant art, tumblr, etc” field, the site will attempt to get the first image, because that’s what twitter will send over. As that argument is given after the file upload field, it will override what ever’s there.
 
When dealing with twitter or tumblr posts with multiple images, you should wither download the image and upload it from your machine, or put the link to the image file (ie. .png, .jpg, .gif, .webm) in the field mentioned above, and then add the source link in the last field.
