And so far they have a pretty good record of “omg that horrible mary sue from Hasbro looks awful!” but then characters like Cadance and Sunset Shimmer turn out likable.
So I have hope that DHX can make Princess Skyla likable, if they choose to use her.

that having a completely fandom made character be canon would be kinda weird.. and no, it’s not really comparable to derpy.
also, i personally vote more for an earth pony child wich would be kind of more interesting than another alicorn ^^

Well obviously I want them to be well written not just thrown in for the sake of being there and they don’t even need to address it till a letter episode where we find out they just so happen to be into the same sex and that’s it, it doesn’t need to be constantly brought up and thrown in peoples that hey I’M GAY LOOK EVERYONE I’M GAY! just a simple nah I’m not interested I’m only into [insert gender here] and done just show that they are and don’t make a huge deal about it.
and if Steven universe can get away with it now I think MLP could do the same later down the road.

Hmm, I think if you give enough children random toys that could be male or female they would create wild stories about those toys, including different relationships between them.
Yet parents are highly critical of different influences those cartoons will have when their children watch them. Like writing angry letters if it has magic “your cartoon is making my precious innocent baby want to be a witch!”
I have no problems over the different characters having both straight and gay relationships.
My only issue would be, and I think others have said this before too, having a gay character/couple just for them to be gay.
I kinda liked it when Rarity hushed Applejack at the end of that one Trenderhoof episode.
Most people got the feeling she was going to say something to the effect of “but ah aint into Colts!” but since she didn’t say what she wanted to, it will be a mystery.

Could be interesting, I remember seeing some interviews with Hasbro executives in the past regarding MLP FiM and how they wanted to refresh their products for older fans who grew up with their products, but at the same time keep it PG for little kids.
So who knows what they will do after MLP FiM, I just wouldn’t expect them to relapse to before gen4.
I’d say anything is possible.

I hope we get something similar in style but with different characters and setting but still equestria that we know maybe set further into the future and most of the species have become intermingled (including changelings, diamond dogs, dragons and griffons) into one society.
Maybe up the rating of the show to include more interesting themes.
Keep the flash non of the cg stuff and have multiple species as the main characters not all ponies maybe one of each species.

What do you think will happen when the last season for MLP FiM is ran and Hasbro decides to start over from scratch?
Do you think they will use DHX again or a different cartoon studio?
Was this thing that Lauren Faust kicked off was a one time thing only? Or could it happen a second time?

Yah, lots of potential for Queen Chrysalis and her changelings, but I felt kinda sad when IDW said she’s just straight up a monster and wouldn’t be redeemed.
As for mine I was thinking of maybe Twilight and the others showing her that ponies have changed over the years and are more accepting of other species and that they could live in harmony some funny stuff with them interacting with the changelings and showing chrysalis around at first she is hesitant and doesn’t really want to make friends with the ponies but after one of the ponies saves one of her changelings good times are had etc etc.
