Exactly, and since we know they got season 5 outlines at some point, this comic must have been in the works for a long time.
 
Heck, Cristina Rice’s first story wound up taking TWO YEARS to go from pitch to publication. Even some of her subsequent scripts got illustrated and published before that first one did.
 
From that anecdote we can conclude that some comics take longer and aren’t always released in the order they were written.

These comics are written so far in advance their is no way they could have timed this on purpose.
 
Same with the Bob Ross and Back to the Future references in the show that were timed so well by sheer coincidence.
