I’m just going to assume that you read my posts from before and aren’t actually trying to imply you see that as a remotely reasonable idea for the gender-egalitarian canon Equestria, because what you’re describing would be ridiculous.
 
I can only hope you’re specifically talking about the fanfiction that people are writing in that 4chan thread, which is basically an alternate universe full of things that don’t belong in the canon. Either way, I shouldn’t have to point out that nobody is expected to perform servitude.
 
Also, that idea just sounds incredibly shallow, among other bad things I could say about it.

The point was who would want that? It isn’t worth anything coming from someone who doesn’t care about you and treats you like shit, among other things, and it wouldn’t even be genuine affection. I was saying that it’s Anon here that probably doesn’t want any affection from some sexist, uncaring cunt who treats him like a servant without feelings and shoos him away instead of even trying to spend time with him. It wouldn’t be a reward if it’s with a scummy person like that, is what I’m getting at.
 
Snuggling is great, but only with someone who genuinely wants you to be there with them/spend time with them, loves you, cares deeply about you, and so on. I could go on about that, probably, but I don’t want to extend the post, or for that matter the conversation.

I’m sure he could make her regret opening her mouth with those muscles, if that’s what you mean, but that wouldn’t change the fact that Vinyl here is being portrayed as someone who is mistreating and belittling him, and just doesn’t really care about him in general. I find it pretty disgusting, but the picture isn’t meant to be taken seriously in any way, so I’ll let off on writing walls of text ranting about it.
 
Moving on, there are people who are serious about it, and there wasn’t really a way for me to tell you weren’t. You sounded fairly serious, honestly.
 
Anyway, yeah, the show is more focused on female characters screentime-wise (though, with side characters, it’s actually fairly even, especially in more recent seasons, with many side characters of both genders), but it’s never portrayed them as superior or anything. And I don’t know if you also mean to imply it, but I really don’t think that the gender ratio is somehow uneven, as the crowds are so filled with clones and inconsistencies that you couldn’t possibly determine anything from them.
 
It’s surely even and we just don’t see it because DHX copy/pastes to save time, which is not something I exactly blame them for, given how much effort it would take to hand-place every pony. A good way to see how bad it can get though is to look at some of the panned out crowd shots, one example being the zoomed out view of the theater in the Hearth’s Warming Eve episode, where you could probably count the number of unique ponies on your fingers despite the theater being crowded.
 
There’s more I could say, but like I said in my last post, I don’t want a huge debate/rant this early in the morning or anything like that, and I doubt you do either.

Canon Equestria is gender-egalitarian, and it’s very clearly not a matriarchy OR patriarchy, so I don’t know what you’re attempting to imply there. In the canon, no gender is in-charge or ‘dominant’. Both genders in the show have been portrayed as equally capable, and neither has been portrayed as advantaged or privileged. They have pretty damn perfect gender equality, both de jure and de facto, and so on, if you know what those words mean. Neither gender is more influential or dominant than the other.
 
If you want to get pedantic with one of the definitions, the current alicorns being female means you could call the top of their government specifically a matriarchy in a sort of technicality, but it wouldn’t really be any more different than pointing out the Queen of England, honestly. And the alicorns are merit-based and would surely not be based on or discriminate by gender.
 
Anyway, there aren’t any enforced gender roles in the canon at all, so there’s nothing to reverse in the first place.
 
The other guy gave you a basic idea of what exactly is being written there, but the RGRE thread is based on an alternate universe idea and contradicts the canon in many, many ways, but like many of the other crazy ideas on /mlp/, people write it anyway because they find it fun. Some of the people there are delusional and think the ideas in the thread somehow have some basis in canon, to which I’d say they most definitely don’t, but most of them are probably chill. Probably. I don’t tend to stick around for conversation, because as you can imagine based on what I’m saying here, I’m no fan of it.
