In this version of equestria, mares are expected to look after stallions by going to work and stallions are supposed to take care of household affairs and look after the children. A mare will often herd up with other mares around a stallion just like irl horses and contribute part of their earnings to a “pot” in the interest of maintaining said household. It’s basically a reversed version of traditional human gender roles with some horsey birs thrown in. It’s actually really cool
