The scene when Doctor whooves and Derpy walking on the bridge to the old sister’s castle then the bridge fell down, in the second episode of season 1 when the mane 6 were trying to figure out how to cross to the other side, than Rainbow Dash fix the bridge. That was very clever and made sense of why then bridge was down in the first place. If somepony can make perfect sense that cloudy would be a great captain then I will say” She does fit as a captain “then I would agree

I just wanted to hear your reasons for why it’s odd.
 
I know it’s a fan comic, I don’t think anyone was ever saying otherwise. But that itself doesn’t change anything. Other than we can’t fully fault it when it contradicts official canon on something.

Not really if it was in a fanfic. If it was actually in the show, then it would be a different story–I’m not sure how I’d feel about that.
 
Just so you know, I have nothing against you disliking this idea, just saying that Pencils can do whatever he wants with it since it’s his fanwork.

If this Derpibooru user cannot accept these events as canon in Pencil’s alternate universe, they are perfectly justified in feeling that way. I won’t try to talk them out of it.
 
I’ll be able to accept it though, since Pencils is the one telling this story and I’m enjoying it a lot so far :3

It doesn’t have to be; after all, this is a fan comic. There are many other headcanons this comic introduces that deviate from the original source material that have had a mostly positive reception.
 
I personally see nothing wrong with making Cloudy an ex-captain of the royal guard. Just because it’s not in the show or the IDW comics doesn’t necessarily make it a bad thing.

Usually it’s the stallions who are put out to stud on a farm.
