@Darth Sonic
I should have said something as well. It’s not that an individual wouldn’t like this because they’re inexperienced concerning tropes and archetypes of the media arts, it’s that an individual wouldn’t like this because they’ve no sense of humour, or also, they’ve a sense of humour only responsive to more intellectual stimulants. In which case, I know not why they’d be fans of cartoons… Not that I believe that to be the case of the two users who I had conversed with. Apologies. X3
@Twilight_Shimmer
I know this is two months old, but I can’t let this stand.
This is a parody of the tendency for pop cultural fiction, especially anime, to have rival characters shout each other’s names at the top of their long. The animator decided to use the most recent memetic and notable example of this, Kill la Kill, and then stretched that out across pop culture.
Does the fact that it’s over the top bother you? Too bad! It’s a parody of over the topness, so of course the gif would be too.
@Everyponys Favorite
They’re actually saying “Matoi Ryuko” and “Kiryuin Satsuki” over and over, in a parody of the over-the-top dramatic way it’s said in the Kill La Kill anime (they’re the names of the 2 characters at the start). This takes that up to 11 with almost every single pop culture icon in existence.
@Tyrranux
Well in addition to the dumb story and twists I’d say the poor motion controls helped with how bad the experience was it was nearly unplayable in some parts of that stream.
