Frankly I’m surprise noone has made the obvious crossover of Starlight and her Equal cult and the people of we happy few. Or in this case “We Equal Few”.

Don’t Starve is the best comparison, for the aspects of survival and the rouguelike open world. I’m trying to think of a good comparison for the social stealth aspect of the game, and Assassin’s Creed is the only series I can think of off hand where blending into a crowd is important, but AC’s civilians are less murder-happy than the Wellies.

I’ve been lowkey looking forward to We Happy Few since I found out about the Kickstarter campaign.
 
And it’s apparently more like Don’t Starve meets Bioshock meets Brave New World, with a dash of The Prisoner.
 
Or maybe Day Z is a more apt comparison, with the zombies swapped out for doped-up rural Britons.

For me it went Bioshock, then Clockwork Orange, then LISA before I noticed the ‘We Happy Few’ tag.

After the E3 showing, the devs have stated they’re a little concerned people will go in expecting a narrative-driven experience like Bioshock and won’t know what to do when faced with an open-world survival game.
