Well, that’s because I always check on ponies. The only drama in the SU fandom I have seen is the ship war and the idiots who threatened a poor young artist to suicide.
 
At least Connie developed so much. But if she gets hate, she is not as overhated as Flash Sentry and/or Timber Spruce. If being brave is not development, idk what is.

You clearly haven’t seen the SU fandom, then. While Peridot’s reformation was well received due to her silliness and not real threat as a villain, there are complains about Lapis, Connie does receive flak for being with Steven instead with another girl, and don’t get me started on the whole Lapidot cs Amedot ship war.
 
If anything, this fandom has avoided most of the shit that the SU fandom gets on a daily basis.

Having not really watched that show nor discussed it with anyone else, I have no idea what the fandom drama for that series would be like or what would be divisive subjects among its fans.
 
Also complaining about things or discussing them is fun.

This is why EqD is going to be assumed to be delusional for the “5 Reasons why Friendship Is Magic is so Incredibly Successful” post.
 
Because people make drama out of all this, including male characters and EqG.
 
If the show was still successful, why people are bitching and moaning about every change, when in Steven Universe, another successful show, nobody complains about Lapis and Peridot being reformed and Connie being Steven’s love interest.

Just because the changelings… well, changed doesn’t mean there still isn’t any grey areas. Thorax is new and extremely inexperienced as a ruler, so it’s possible that many changelings will find him unfit for ruling and defect to Chrysalis. Some changelings under Chrysalis might hear of a kinder ruler, so they’d defect to Thorax.
 
You’re making an awful lot of assumptions in your arguments, but so am I.  
It seems our base arguments right now are whether the changelings have had their questionable morality stripped from them, or if there’s still room for the questionable morality to still be there.
 
As for which argument is the correct one… well, only time will tell.

That makes them cowards then. That means that aren’t loyal in the slightest and makes them unintentionally unsympathetic than anything else.
 
Also no the other changelings are loyal to Chrysalis because she’s keeping information from them. No other changeling knows of this method and they have to be downright idiotic not to take it now. All it does is take the moral ambiguity out of the changelings which was what mainly made them interesting in the first place. It’ll be a different thing if the changelings changed yet some were still loyal to Chrysalis but nope black and white morality.

Yeah now they’ll only be loyal to Chrysalis because she’s deliberately keeping information that could help them. Ergo the situation with Chrysalis and the remaining changelings isn’t interesting in the slightest to some people because most can’t see them with the interesting gray spectrum they had anymore. Now they’re just poor victims of Chrysalis.

Judging from what the finale said an extremely uninteresting side of the spectrum the changelings that are with Thorax and the ones that are with Chrysalis are on now.

You forgot to put the time when Discord was reformed. People thought that he was going to be all goody-goody and lose all his interesting qualities, which obviously didn’t happen.

Yeah well, I personally think that last part describes Starlight and almost half of all secondary characters perfectly. Also I think Applejack is one of the most likeable characters in the series, and Rainbow Dash was fucking amazing in Top Bolt. More than made up for her bad characterization most of this season.

They are boring, mismatched cast that drags the quality of the show down, ever since S1. We have tier 1 pony with powerful magic (Twilight), tier 2 ponies with some unusual abilities (Dash, FS) that could make for useful sidekicks, and then we have tier 99 peasants who are nothing special, have no magic or flight, and turn the show from something that is set in fantasy world into something that could be set in Alabama (Pinkie, AJ). Rarity is borderline, she has magic and some useful abilities, but her businesspony arc doesn’t really fit magical adventures, either. The biggest mistake in foundations of the show was lack of coherence, either make slice of life with everyone being on the same mundane level, or magical adventures and monster fighting with the cast being all prodigies. They didn’t, which reduced half of M6 into plot item holders. Also, AJ and Dash are terribly written, AJ would make far better element of Loyalty while Dash could be (brutal) Honesty.
 
TL/DR - some characters don’t fit the theme, drag show down, are badly written and are overall useless.

How about somebody explain to me why the mane 6 are still hated despite saving Equestria many many times?
 
I can understand what Starlight did to deserve the hate she gets, but what the hell could anyone possibly have against the mane 6?
