The half-dozen votes removed from this image and the users perma-banned for mass downvoting images like this would tend to disprove that oh so passive-aggressive assertion there, mate. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Just because you assume particular motivations are at play doesn’t mean they are, or even that they exist.

I find it interesting how images like this– which have miles of downvotes that clearly and unambiguously have nothing whatsoever to do with the quality of the artwork– never seem to have those downvotes questioned to the same degree as downvotes on images full of stupid edgelord Nazi bullshit.

I don’t have a strong opinion for or against the concept, I mostly just find it out of place at worse. Just a thing really.
 
I do wish people would simply stick to EG colortones when they humanize, as it bypasses the race argument almost entirely. It’s also as canon as we’ll ever get.

I like muslimshy, she looks cute. Helps that plenty of my friends wear headscarves.
 
But yeah, I sympathize with artists. Brown skin is much harder than white, in terms of lighting, color contrast… pen ink (not such a problem on a screen, but still a consideration in print).

Orange tones work much better it’s true. I think it’s because the show generally lends itself to a warmer palette.

While I don’t mind her being black too much myself, I see your point.

I don’t like black rarity. I don’t mean like, against being black itself, I’m black, but I mean her design. She was drawn with pale fur for a reason and she’s kind of jarring to look at with such dark skin, especially if you wanna keep her ears and horn white in this type of humanized?? Like at least mottle her ears if you’re gonna keep the skin dark.

I think this is really cute.
 
I think people need to remember that objections with a religion’s beliefs shouldn’t translate to disliking the actual people who follow it, too.
 
I have major issues with Islam as an ideology, but there’s nothing wrong with most Muslim people. Most aren’t fundamentalists and don’t take everything in their book literally. So I don’t see any reason to have such a kneejerk reaction against something like this.
