Is anything I said false? I don’t know for sure that it started with her for all of Starlight’s more aggressive detractors, but there’s no denying that there was a ruckus over which was ‘better,’ how Sunset ‘deserved more,’ and should have been with the Mane 6 in Starlight’s place, whether it’s the reason for this to still be going or not.

I don’t think you can use Sunset shimmer as a scapegoat forever either.
 
Consider that Starlight can have writing issues that are internal rather than based on any other character or fans of those characters that lead to distaste of her.

Having loosely followed the Starlight Drama stuff for the last several months, the impression I get is that Chuymaruz and those like him are still bent out of shape about Starlight having completely blown Sunset Shimmer* out of the water in the EQG special they shared, possibly more, and the best outlet they can find for the resulting fan-rage is to rag on every little thing they can find or conjure up about her until… the rest of the internet hates her as much as they do, I guess? It seems like OP and a few other familiar screen-names are still venting, so you might as well leave them to it.
 
*I’m guessing it’s at least partially about Sunset because it was a particularly noisy subset of Sunset’s fans that really went nuts back then, and I notice a few familiar screen-names among those consistently attacking Starlight at every opportunity.

She could have had Thorax and Pharynx simply talk to each other in one room and not let them leave until a compromise was made… That is literally what anyone with common sense would do.

Well, she certainly bears the brunt of responsibility for luring the creature closer, but given limited planning time to come up with something what would encourage Pharynx to come to his brother’s aid, I’m not sure what else she could have done. Besides, problem areas of the plan aside, she was correct about their brotherly bond making Pharynx change his mind.
 
So… all’s well that ends well, I guess.
 
Although, I do think it’s unfair to stick Starlight with the entirety of the blame for what went wrong. It kind of ignores the fact that the entire hive (aside from Thorax) wanted Pharynx gone yesterday, and that all of Starlight’s attempts to connect to him failed to elicit any sort of rapport between them. Besides, it’s not like Trixie was any help either. She may be all for third chances, but had she been there alone the episode would have ended with Pharynx gone forever and the hive under-protected.

Starlight is also in the Princess Twilight position, where she’s doomed no matter what she does. If she has the solution all the time, then she’s a boring mary sue, but if she ever makes mistakes, then “why did she graduate from Twilight’s teaching?”
