“That’s because of systematic pony supremacy, and not material conditions” - ponies who supported that pony who claimed to have buffalo ancestry, and therefore was the first buffalo teacher at Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns.
I like to imagine that if they tried to make Grogar more of a morally grey character, his rule as Emperor of Equestria was exaggerated by his successors and that he was more of fairer but strict dictator who ruled his country with an iron fist, trying to maintain harmony among all of the species.
@Twilestia
Calendars in the show are inconsistent, they were shown with either 15 days in It’s About Time, 24 in Lesson Zero, or 31 in Fake It ‘Till You Make It.
There’s also the 12 day calendar in Sunset’s apartment during Monday Blues.
For the math part not making sense. What if Equestrias months/years arent the same as ours?
The non compete episode had me wondering if the shool really is operating for over a human year already ( Fluttershy being teacher of the month for 12 months in a row, not saying that shes been the only one winning it so maybe its even more then a year if it is like human years.)
Could explain why everything seems to be so close together. Or each season seems to be several years.

Reminds me of a movie I heard about once where zombies show up, but they don’t really do anything besides trying to go along their daily (un)lives and reintegrating into society.
Can’t remember what it was called, though.
@Background Pony #ED33
Couldn’t give a shit less.
Even more so with the fact that you seem to think looking at a show trying to be progressive and moral with modern(Ie present day) lenses is a fools errand.
@Deserter
Pretty much. They’re gonna keep trying to shove in modern day views and race ideas into what is fantasy. Reminds me of that Russian story book which claimed that the orcs in Lord of the Rings were the good guys and that the original books were propagnda by humans.
Folks can be weird at times. Regardless, hopefully everyone has a good/nice day/night regardless of the discussion.
@ExistenceNull
Perhaps, ya know, ya could stop posting? I mean, you seem pretty damn dead set in sticking to your belief about the shadow monsters that feed on your tears being innocent. I doubt that’s gonna change from any discussion.
@Background Pony #ED33
And you being a smartass every few comments helps how?
The only problem here is I’m not willing to let someone walk because of good intentions and prior deeds.
Because thats not justice, honest, kind or anything else.
It’s corrupt and biased.
Two problems, both of which are easily tought out.
A) Umbrum have no choice in their biological diet and stripping a species of their magic(if that is the only consequence, which it isn’t) isn’t any better.
B)Chrysalis is the only one to respond to that. And she feeds on positive emotion. The Umbrum feed on negative. They aren’t worse, it’s competition for food and an inability to coexist not a scale of villainy.
@ExistenceNull
You know, no matter how much you project about this, you’re still defending beings that:
A. Substance themselves from the suffering of others
B. Are so brutal in their methods every other single villain wants nothing to do with them
